I have recently had a new alarm fitted in my home by ADT and whilst I was very satisfied by the installation and with the engineer who carried it out I have had several had a number of di atisfactory experiences withe the company. I have had 3 occasions when I have made appointments for engineers to carryout my annual maintenance and they have failed to turn up and no-one has contacted me with an explanation and one visit from an installer who also failed to turn up. When I contacted them to find out why I was eventually told that he had rung in sick and since my appointment was the first one of the day they could not let me know. What was wrong with the rest of the day?I also contacted them to ask them to remove my late husband's name from any further correspondence since he passed away on December 2011. After numerous requests and assurances that that they had acceded to my requests it continued until November 2014. I was always offered an apology but many of them seemed weak and insincere.A month ago I had a new system installed for which I pay a monthly payment of £27-49 for monitoring and maintenance and at no time was I told that if an engineer came out and found no fault with the system I would have to pay for the call out I was horrified to receive a bill for £155 which they insist I must pay.The alarm was only installed 4 days when the system was triggered at 4-15am for no apparent reason and again approx. 2 weeks later and again no fault was found. I think this charge is outrageous and should NEVER be charged on such a new system. If you are thinking about buying a new alarm from this company my advice is to dot every I and cross every T because you could be landed with bills you should not be paying.

Misold the alarm package. excessive service charges. customer services a joke. very unhappy customer.

Very expensive, system cost us £800. Our system was install and 2 weeks later, the alarm become faulty and keeps calling us everyday at 1am. I called up the customer service and said they will be a engineering coming out and it will be charged, even though it's not our fault. Called them out twice and still not able to repair it. Worst company I ever dealt with. What makes it worse is the attitude

Misold package wasn't explain to my wife correctly. Now we are trying to cancel our contract they want us to pay 239.64 as that pays our contract off but a further 535 for a cancellation fee.Avoid at all cost this company is criminal.There customer service is terrible no wants to help..

ADT will sell you a product but not give technical support on their products unless you have a contract. Terrible service do not use this company

Not impressed by the 'Advisor' who we had booked to come and advise on Alarm Packages. The appointment stated 'No Obligation'. Upon arrival, it was obvious that this was a Salesman. Chit chat about relevant things, chatting about traffic. Mentioned about the base package which offers two indoor sensors yet added more as he went along although stating we required only 2. This came across as him just trying to bump the price up. As he's entering it all into his tablet, he then simply asks... Account Number?". He was very taken back when I mentioned this was No Obligation and that I would not be purchasing anything on the spot. Very odd how within around 2 minutes of learning this
