This depot is a disaster and we hate buying anything from them. Massively over priced even for just a small bag of sand, in fact 3 time the price from B&Q and completely unreliable if you place an order for delivery. Use another branch if it must be Buildbase for your order. A much better builder merchants is on the same trading estate so I would advise to use them or Buildbase in Melksham. Probably the best thing this depot could do is close down and build houses on the site !

I ordered 6x5 trellis and noticed when I was about to secure them to fencing some of the battens were rotten and weathered, it's clear to me the trellis I received had been partly covered and had been lying around the yard for sometime. I have since contacted the Calne branch and spoke to a member of staff and in fairness he was very apologetic. The following day only six of the seven pieces of trellis were picked up, because I had cut the other one down the middle it was left behind by the driver, I was reimbursed for only the six. I didn't realise at the time the one I was working on was also rotten which is now no good to me. I am now £20 pounds down and feel very unfairly treated and will be contacting the branch again. Surely it is common practice that goods sent out to customers have been checked before hand.

Buildbase are a great local builders merchants. Done assume its trade only! The have everything you need for any DIY job. The staff are very very helpful and friendly even if you don't really know what you are talking about they will assist and point you ion the right direction.

We went to see their paving display but unfortunately it had been removed pending a revamp. However the chaps couldn't have been more helpful showing us the pavings around the site.
