This is a really nice pub, large car park and excellent service. Really nice surroundings to have a meal nicely decorated. Through the front from the car park and pud area to the left and restaurant to the right we were seated straight away and the waiter was attentive without being a nuisance. We both ordered 28 day aged prime sirloin steak, the chips were lovely but the steak was just ok it was cooked well just maybe prime 28 day etc gets your expectations up but had better at cheap chain pubs. The desert caramel banana waffle with chocolate sauce, banana & butterscotch ice cream, whipped cream was absolutely delicious. All in all a really nice pub had a good time and I would definitely go back.

Whilst up visiting the area, we wanted to visit somewhere for a Sunday Roast. Found the Cross Keys online with good reviews and a menu that sounded great. Easy to book a table online, service was good and more importantly the meals were very good. I personally recommend the rib of beef which fell off the bone and tasted great!!!

Christmas menu £25.99 for two courses. Absolute rubbish meal and not worth the price paid. I had the cod with vegetables. The meal was cold and the vegetables were obviously frozen, they were like rubber. When I complained I was given a fresh plate which was warmer but the vegetables were just the same. For the second course I had Christmas pudding which was also not good, bland with very little taste.Would I recommend the Cross Keys? Definitely not.

Had a lovely Monday night tea with the girls, thank you to the two attentive waiters that looked after us, nothing was too much trouble. Delicious food by the fire, my Korean chicken especially nice & it was great service for how busy it was. Look forward to trying the festive menu on my next visit!
