endless wait to pick up the vehicle due to system problem, dirt interior and faulty tyre. wasted time and did not feel safe with the car. I'll go somewhere else next time.

The last two experiences have been so bad I couldn't recommend coming back here. They lul you in with cheap prices and then when it comes to returning the vehicle there will be all these additional charges which you will have zero chance of retrieving.I prepaid for a booking which had always been for the full amount but then when returning the vehicle there is a charge of £91 with no explanation as to why.The red flag was the lack of a booking confirmation email outlining the exact paid amount and the dates that it covers. Will be going back to enterprise. Also I overheard one of the workers there telling another customer excess cover is compulsory and they have to pay an additional amount, con artists.

I’m being given a vw passat or a 1.4ltr Skoda even though it’s supposed to be like for like, and yet I have a 3.3ltr twin turbo premium car !! Sorry but really poor service even before we startYou will notice a reply from them below, first that is not a link and then they gave me a phone number by email that does not existYou will see by the photos below that they have given me a battered vw and the other photo is mine and it’s supposed to be like for like, so they have given me a £20 a day car and charging Zurich £200 a day . And yes I’ve been in to complain but they just fob you off , go somewhere else

I’ve rented 2 cars from here in the past few months was a little gutted not to get a Fiat 500 again but was given a Polo as a free upgrade, there was a slight delay picking up the second time but staff were very apologetic offered warm drinks and the option to drop it off a little later. Both cars were faultless and I would happily rent from here again in the future or recommend to friends and family.

DO NOT RENT HERE if you’re a legal immigrant or prepare to be discriminated against. I moved here from the US on a skilled worker visa. I had not established a UK residence yet so I used my US documents. The desk refused to hand over the car unless I provide a return flight, which I obviously didn’t have. As I know now, this is not a usual requirement and, according to Europcar customer service, it’s also not part of their company policy. Next, they also refused to treat me as a UK local because I had no UK address yet. In the end they just left me stranded, hours before I had to pick up my wife and our baby at Heathrow.You would think they at least have the decency to promptly issue a refund. Think again! Almost two weeks after the supposed pickup, I am still fighting to get my money back for a car I never received. In summary, absolutely disgusting treatment, making you feel like a criminal for legally immigrating to the UK while trying to defraud you out of your money. Prepare to experience the same if you’re in a similar situation.

Worst experience, unprofessional staff do not go there. I hired a car online and went to pick it up they refused to give me the car and kept asking me for flight tickets in order to get the car. I told them so if I buy the return ticket now will you give me the car and they said no!!??? On top of that they asked for my driving license translation which there is no need for it. I hold a Portuguese license which is valid for driving in the uk. AVOID THIS PLACE. I went to Arnold car instead and hired a car with no problem. I want my money back as soon as possible.

impossible to contact the office the day before the starting of the rental to amend my booking. Endless waiting on the phone with no answer. I lost two days of rental for this reason. I tried to contact the customer care service at the link you suggested in your reply below, but again nobody aswered me. Poor, poor, poor service! I'll never rent a car from Europcar!

Have hired several cars through this branch of Europcar now and always found them to be good to deal with. Even to the point of sorting out a vehicle discrepancy when I last used them, where Diana went the extra mile to ensure all was corrected accordingly.Great team and great service, thank you. Karl.

DONT USE APPALLING COMPANY. Absolutely appalling company and company service. Left an extremely vulnerable person without a car for over 90days and hasn’t been able to get the medication needed as they refused to rent a car for the vulnerable person. The car was dropped off when i was taking the Vulnerable person to an appointment which they were fully aware of- knowing there was no one there- they left the car outside my house for an hour only for them to come and TAKE the car after refusing to talk to me through my Ring doorbell telling them i was less than an hour away to sign the papers needed. It has been nothing but a hassle with these people trying to get a bloody rental car sorted through Insurance. The way these people treat extremely vulnerable people is abysmal. WORST RENTAL COMPANY EVER TO EXIST.

We were due to pick up the vehicle at 4pm. We didn’t leave the office until 5.45pm. There was only one person on the desk. The poor lad having to manage a number of frustrated people explained that someone had had to leave because of an emergency with their child, but to be honest, even if there had been two people there it still would have taken a long time.I want to point out that the lad working in the office was excellent. Polite, calm and very apologetic. If it hadn’t have been for how he managed things the experience would have been much worse.
