Regular visitor to the Heald Green shop. All the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Sandwiches and cakes are always delicious and special shout out to the bakers who make top tier bread!

Hygiene needs to be looked at. The quality of the food is good but this morning no chopping board was used whilst cutting sausages (it was cut on the bench) so major issue.Also, the woman who made our order did have gloves on but failed to change them when accepting cash & when picking up my Viennese finger so essential making it inedible as I don’t want sausage grease on my dessert nor do I want bacteria from cash on my food.But the sausage sandwich was tasty and you could tell it was of a high quality, just a shame about the hygiene!!

The Bacon and Sausages are always pre cooked sat on a hotplate all morning so the bacon ends up hard as a rock. You only get 1 Sausage, 2 Bacon, 1 Egg, and either Beans or Mushrooms , 1 slice of Toast & a coffee included in a breakfast for £6 black pudding is extra as are beans or mushrooms depending what you picked to be included & twice now I've got home only to find they didn't give me any toast, I only go here sometimes because its around the corner.I usually go to Bread & Butties in Cheadle Hulme because you get 3 Bacon, 2 Sausages, 2 Eggs, Beans, Black Pudding, Mushrooms, 2 toast and a grilled tomato and a coffee all for the same price of £6 and its all cooked to order, meaning ypu can actually chew the bacon plus you actually get the toast.Peter Herds is a rip off and not very good either do yourself a favour and travel 1½ miles and get a proper brekkie! For that same price

Expensive , not a lot of choice in bread & rolls always the same some items not fresh all the time even though they say fresh daily I got an ice finger not cheap it was stale hard crispy should be soft fluffy bouncy custard burnt pastry watery custard inside

I work in this industry and have been a professional baker and pastry chef for 6 years so I am aware of the impact of a negative review however, I have recently visited this bakery twice in 2 weeks and discovered that on both occasions the staff had no clue what the products were that were being sold. Furthermore one of those products was a wholemeal loaf which tasted primarily of salt! It's wholemeal!! How that has happened I really have no clue?!? The shop always seems sold out so I presume others enjoy this bakery but I do notThis relates to the heald green shop.

Fabulous bakery!We absolutely love this bakery. If it was up to my son he would sit outside eating the crusty cobs all day.Delicious sandwichs, pies and cakes. All food purchased has been 10/10.Lovely staff,bery helpful. Every interaction I have had has always been a pleasant one.

I've eaten breakfast and lunch from here a few times. Always delicious, fresh and 5* customer service! No wonder there's a queue at peak times -would recommend!

The two girls who were serving today, absolutely fantastic - great customer service and if I owned a shop, I’d happily employ them but the organisation from the manager seriously needs looking into, lazy manager and I feel so bad for the two girls, she also thought it was a clever idea to open up the oven whilst the queue was gradually growing to delay the cooking of needed food for these people. Replace the manager, keep the servers - you’ve got yourself a fantastic store

Been into the heald green shop on several occasions in the last couple of weeks and can not fault the place. Food is amazing, the staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly, by far the best bakery ive been to.

Living in the states, one of the few things I can’t get is a good pie. Whenever I’m back in the UK to see my mother, I get pork pieS from here. They have always been delicious. But today(early Saturday morning) I bought a large pie and it was inedible. Someone must have had an accident with the salt, it was as though they’d added it twice or used buckets instead of tablespoons. I’m so disappointed as I head home tomorrow.In response : reviews are intended to provide an averaged view of customers experiences of an establishment. I’m sure you’re not suggesting you would try to persuade me not to post my review ‘just’ because you provided a refund/voucher ? Good & Bad reviews are beneficial to both potential customers and establishments that strive to maintain superior product quality. A negative review should never be taken personally. As you say, mistakes happen, I will not hold it against you and will return for another pie in the future.
