Good beer and an incredibly friendly place. It's a work in progress and no food at the present but apparently the kitchens are being sorted. We ended up on pub quiz night and were joined by some locals and had a brilliant, fun evening.

Lovely proper local with super staff and friendly Landlord. Great selection of games to play with friends and very family friendly too. We love coming on the evenings where we can sample the different food trucks and eat inside.

Great welcome and refreshing cider on a hot summer day. The beer garden has fantastic views of the valley and is a great spot for a few well-earned sherbets.

Really great to be back in the Laburnum (well beer garden actually).Last time I was in was nearly 50 years ago as a student at Matlock College. Some of our haunts like The Gate, The original Crown, the Olde English and The Crabtree have changed or disappeared so it is wonderful that somebody has been brave enough to open up a pub. The welcome was terrific and the beers were excellent. Inside was just how a good pub should be. I look forward to many more refreshing drinks after walking in the Farley area.

One of the only Google reviews I've left, and for good reason. Truly amazing location, service and beer. Shep (the owner) couldn't do enough for us. We arrived in our usual post-walk fashion, with dogs and babies to boot, and Shep was super attentive and helpful. Kept the sun of those that needed shade, and was on hand with more umbrellas when the rain arrived. Legendary.Definitely a must visit for anyone in the area who enjoys a decent pint of craft.

Cute little pub in Farley Dale, Derbyshire with a wide variety of local beers and ciders. Loads of board games that you can borrow for a lovely evening. Wood fire to keep warm and cosy. Highly recommended if you are local for a great evening
