I have been renting a property with Chaneys being the letting agents for 2 years. My experience with this company (primarily with Bayleigh and Dan) has been extremely positive through-out. They have been very helpful from the start and any issue that my family brought up was promptly, efficiently and effectivey resolved to our complete satisfaction. With my tenancy coming to an end, Chaneys team has been extremely co-operative and flexible in arranging a moving date as my new build was slightly delayed. I've read the other feedback here but I can't thank Chaneys enough for the 2 years of good service I received. I wish Bayleigh, Dan and the team all the best always. Thank you !!

The manner of the staff ranges from pleasant to obtuse, depending on who you speak to. They aren't interested in speaking to tenants of properties they manage and will only speak to the landlords, as the tenants only pay their fees indirectly through rent paid to landlords.I asked Chaneys if they would clean up mess and litter left by another tenant. After several months of asking them, they asked me to stop emailing or phoning them. Apparently they were going to clean up later on this week, but I had been told this in the past, and it hadn't happened.They were quite happy for us to live with litter including cigarette ends, cans, bottles and what appeared to be a used sanitary towel around the property, for months on end. We ended up cleaning the mess ourselves rather than wait for Chaneys to do so.They did say thank you to us for cleaning the litter, but then immediately soured the sentiment by asking us not to contact them and to contact our landlord instead.

I have worked with this company over 20 years as owning properties they manage.I have highlighted on a few properties the improvements they have made and ask they highlight they point out in the lease where they are permitted. Nothing ever comes back.I have a number of water ingress issues where there is a lack of response to the works being completed. I still have not had responses after 3 years. The company has recently breached privacy by installing CCTV in common parts. I never asked for this and it is again not acceptable to me. They have even built a new management office for their staff to sit in and it is not accepted on the lease. Maintenance in their view is improvement and want to fool members it will increase the property prices when the service charge level for me when I buy property will have the opposite affect!Further to this company's poor performance we have had more and more issues. If you have also suffered from this company, I would like to hear from you.

Maintenance fees sky high when you want a tree cut back excuses about tpos one tree is leaning against the flats they just leave it nobody can use bins which causes rats they just terrible to deal with hope freeholder gets rid of them not set up to manage they really junior surveyors imo

Landlords do not give your property to this company to manage. Prospective tenants don't rent from themeither. Chaneys are terrible. Very unprofessional. They won't repair anything that is broken. Respond to emails. When you call about repairs they will keep fobbing you off to 'block' management. They can't get anything right either. Once they changed the locks of the main door leading into our apartment block and sent us a letter informing us of it but never sent the new key . When we contacted them about it they insisted it had been sent and nothing was in their office. After arguing with them over the phone they eventually agreed. to send us 'another' copy of the key the next day.

The worst management company I have ever had to deal with. They are happy to take your money while doing minimal maintenance, chase money that has already been paid, and threaten to send debt collectors round. It then takes 10 months for your over payment to be refunded. They caused unnecessary delays to our house move and regularly ignored calls and emails. Thankfully we’ll never have to deal with them again.

STRICTLY AVOID. 0 Stars for Pathetic Block Management. This company has gone to the dogs. Utterly shameless. Have no complaints process and is in breach of their obligations to the PRS. Can't fix a simple leak since 8 months. The leak has led to unhygenic algae needless to say they have wasted 1000s of litres of water. Don't trust any words that their directors say during their sales pitch. They have sold their souls for £.

My dealings with Chaneys over the years have been professional and in general quite good. I appreciate that rental properties can throw up a number challenges from time and time that many other landlords/tennants complain about however it's nothing that cool heads cannot resolve. Being open and honest with Chaneys will more likely than not yield a good result in the end as long as you're honest and open to work with them. (Please don't be distracted by these other reviews that more emotive than rational).

Would give a one star if possible - worst management company ever; rude, unhelpful, poor communication & then indirect threats if payments are not made, despite not being informed of price increases beyond what is considered reasonable. Avoid if possible. Profiteering at it's finest.

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. The WORST management company to have ever existed. I had to physically go to their office to get them to respond to me and even after that, they dismissed commitments they made and barely respond to me. They don't provide the services myself and my neighbours pay for and then threaten us with debt collectors. Honestly have never been more stressed than I have since having to deal with Chaneys as the management company of a property I have bought. They've been a main contributor to the decline of my mental health. It should be a positive experience moving into a property, especially when it's your first but they have honestly spoiled that and continue to be terrible communicators and just a bunch of uncaring humans.
