King Charles Hotel in Kent

Stop over on way home, room was clean and spacious, restaurant staff were excellent good choice of food. Even although there was a coach tour staying it didn't impact on our service. I was amazed how well they handled everything, we didn't have to wait very long for our meals.

This hotel is still living in the 70s. Very outdated, not in a chic way. Big beds are deceptive, actually 2 beds together. Partner and I woke up covered in bites on our bodies. No air con, rooms were stifling hot and stuffy. Decor is old, varnished wood in the room, shower door was busted and did not close. Restaurant was stupidly hot, waited over 30 minutes for a cooked breakfast. Would like to add it came with beans but I asked for no beans. Shouldn't have bothered waiting. Do not recommend staying at this hotel

Me and my wife was in the area and while waiting for someone spoke to reception and had a beer and a glass of wine in their bar, week after i had a 3 day first aid coarse there. Staff generally very friendly, breakfast nice but very small.I was not told by reception to sign my reg in, have not been there before and today got a parking fine in the post, most expensive beer and glass of wine i ever had.I finished my first aid coarse today and this time was asked to sign my car reg in, lets hope i dont get onother parking fine.Guess they have to try and make their money some way. Was thinking of trying out the hotel for a night, rooms with the hot tubs looked nice but wont chance it as it feels like there will be hidden costs or charges there.

It doesn't look that majestic on the outside but our room was good. Enough space, the bed was good and it was quiet. Good shower. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly and competent.

We stayed here for a couple of nights. The rooms are basic but clean, the bedding was clean, towels were clean, the room was clean and tidy. It's a good budget hotel. A fan was in our room which was a godsend. Breakfast was nice, on the Sunday friends joined us for breakfast which was lovely. A couple of things which could be improved in our opinion are, the TV was high up, (a little too high) in the corner of the wall, however it was the size of a postage stamp. Another thing, maybe a bottle of water could be placed in the room. If you're not used to hard water then bottled water is a must. All in all we had a pleasant stay.

Stayed a night here as we were moving house. Not the fanciest of rooms (the double bed were just 2 singles pushed together), but it was clean, cheap and came with breakfast.The garden is very pretty and the different fish tanks gave a very relaxed feel.We tried to have dinner but didn't see any staff while we waited for a while, so we gave up, but the breakfast was a good size and came with a bit of everything you would expect.

My experienceI stayed for a night, rooms are pretty old and outdated and need some refurbishment. Staff are swift and attentive. The room got hot at night at its summer time and the fan in my room was an old crusty noisy one. If you are looking for a quick layover maybe this could work. But not for anything fancy for sure.

Stayed for one night, very basic room, the bed seemed over 30 years old, uneven million times used mattress. I was scared of bed bugs because it was simply so old.Unacceptable breakfast. Coffee was served cold, the English breakfast" option arrived with a row egg

Ideal place free breakfast which is brilliant quality freshly cooked beds comfy and rooms are large. Good shower and the staff are brilliant. Thank you

OK accommodation for the price, room nice and comfortable.Breakfast was good and a nice range to choose from.Lad on bar can't pull a pint as wasted half a pint in head.Entrance can be easily missed as it looks like an abandoned Carpark
