West End Garage

Used to be brilliant (the owners are really genuine, hardworking people) but I've had to reduce my rating to 4 stars because of an incident that happened over the summer. When asking for advice over the phone, I was advised to come in for an unnecessary diagnostic check which I didn't know I'd be charged for. Also, the wrong part was sent by the dealer - not the garage's fault - but unfortunately the service took a day longer than expected. This would usually have been fine, except that it had taken about 2 weeks to get an appointment in the first place.Having known this garage personally for such a long time, I felt it harsh to be slapped with an extra fee for the unnecessary diagnostic check - especially since I was unemployed at the time. I can't fault the owners, but I think the staff need a bit more training in handling customer relations. I would have really appreciated a show of good will for the delay, the inconvenience of coming in for a check, not having my car when I needed it, and to maintain our good working relationship.I have literally just found out that one of the owners did actually try to contact me after this incident to make amends - hence the reason for this updated review. This just shows that they really do care about their customers and in my opinion are really genuine people. I think I was just messed around a bit by other, less experienced staff at the garage, and I wish I had contented the bill when I picked up my car, but unfortunately someone else did it for me as I was out of town at the time.

Fantastic work and problem solving with a lot of hard work put in to curing the problems, I’ve a new car so to speak.Bought a second hand car over two years ago and I thought it was designed to always start off slow to make it more economical so I’ve put up with it only working on 3 cylinders so to speak. Daniel and Damien have cured the problem, it’s honestly like having a new car, replacing the glow plugs was hard work but worth every penny and all the hard work they had to put in to fix all problems. A very big thank you and and well done to all the team.

Quality work fair prices good family run business

I went in today with my Peugeot, 107Add my exhaust was hanging off literally. Going in on my own I was worried they were going to try rip me off because that has happened before going in as a girl and them knowing I don’t know much about cars but that was definitely not the case here! The receptionist is absolutely lovely. So welcoming and kind and just a really down to earth woman and the men in the work shop are also so lovely and helpful and they most definitely don’t take the Piss out of anyone! The atmosphere is really calm and friendly! And they worked on my car straight away and welded it back in and only charged £15!!!! They could of asked for a lot more than that and I would of still thought fair game! These guys are Lovely, honest , hard workers with a kind and welcoming business!! You’d be silly to go anywhere else!

Everytime you ring you get I will call you back with the quote" then you don't hear anything. What's the point of owning a business if you can't be bothered to do the work. Shambles!"

Used West End Garage a few times now and everytime I have, they have been first class! All the work has been done quickly, efficiently and professionally. Can't speak highly enough of these guys here. 100% recommend!!!!
