The Blue Boar is absolutely fantastic! The food is always amazing and the staff always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is super cozy too. Really can’t fault this wonderful place! Plus it is dog friendly

We went for a meal here on a Friday night, was temped in by the pie menu, and it didn’t disappoint! Pies loaded to the brim, one of the best I’ve ever eaten! Pizza was brilliant, really good service, no complaints and wouldn’t hesitate booking again.

Sadly disappointed to hear they had sold out of roasts on our arrival at 4pm. They are obviously very popular. That said, Don’t be put off, the menu still had great choice and the quality of food was fantastic ! will definitely return.

I am writing this review as a business traveller. When travelling for work convenience is key. There is no car parking at this venue and the nearest long stay - 12 hours only is a 9 minute walk away. This meant over the two day stay I had to move my car several times. I stayed on a Friday night and the venue was very lively and therefore very loud. If I was staying in Witney with friends and enjoying the bars and restaurants this wouldn’t be a problem but not for someone travelling for work. My room was tired but clean. The staff were lovely and breakfast choices were varied.

Stayed here for two nights and had a nice stay.The rooms are okay - clean and decent sized, with all the amenities you could need (kettle & hot drinks, hair dryer, iron/board, shower gels/lotions, A/C), however our bathroom smelt very damp.Breakfast (included with the room) was plentiful - one item from the hot breakfast menu as well unlimited barista drinks, and pastries/toast/cereal. Pastries were delicious, but the hot food was just okay.We also ate dinner here and I would say the same: food was okay but overpriced for the quality and quantity (I had a chicken milanese burger with a handful for chips which cost £18.50!) Cocktails were great and fairly standard prices at £8-£10 each.Service from check in to check out was really great - and I can't fault the staff for being both friendly and helpful!

I have stayed here numerous times and always leave happy. This was the first time being placed in the rooms outside the main pub, which aren't quite as nice in my opinion. It was still very clean and had air conditioning. The food is amazing, so make sure you have breakfast!Staff are always friendly and helpful.The location is great, ideal to get around and be local to some great bars.

Had a fantastic bottomless Prosecco brunch with friends. Food was great, Staff attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.I have a severe allergy to nuts, I was so relieved to hear this business went nut free 4 years ago, such a relief not to worry about cross contamination etc.,We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

Had a lovely dinner at the blue boar. Vegan sharing platter and the vegan pizza's were both great! Our waiter, Steve, was brilliant. Enthusiastic and really attentive, thanks!

Went for a meal at the restaurant with some friends. The food and drink was fine, HOWEVER:After paying the bill, the waiter told us the payment hadn’t worked and we must try again. Upon checking my bank account a few days later (much to my annoyance) the full payment was in fact taken twice. The restaurant has been contacted but they have taken forever to issue a refund… it has now been over 6 weeks and no sign of it.Thought I would leave this honest review to warn others of what a disappointing experience we have had.
