Newhall Mains

Our family made this our first destination when we vacationed in Scotland. The accomodations, service, food, drinks and ambience were all spectacular. A great base to come back to after long days of touring the Scottish coast and countryside. A serene peacefulness.

This hotel was a beautiful hideaway right outside of Inverness. The room was a great size and full of the basics. I will say there was no a/c which may be a bigger issue in the warmer months of the year, but was no problem for my stay in August. I would definitely recommend to anyone!

From now on when I think of paradise I will think of Newhall! Everything about our time here was perfect - from the beautiful scenery to the impecable hospitality provided by the Euan and his staff. I will certainly be returning here as soon as I can.

Great hideaway in the Highlands but close enough to make the mountains, distilleries and biking options all really accessible. Nice combination of relaxed and luxurious - will be back!

10/10. Stayed at NewHall Mains for two nights to explore the highlands and The Black Isle. The cottage was top notch with very comfortable beds, beautiful rooms and relaxing views. Alot of good info on what to do during the day in the area. The staff were very friendly and always took the time to ask if anything was needed. We were also lucky enough to experience a flight with Euan and see Scotland from above, what an experience! Will definately come back to stay.

Simply perfect!One of the nicest hotels we've ever been to. Very stylish apartment (more like a cottage) in a beautifully renovated old manor house. Everything was immaculately clean. Very well equipped kitchen. In addition, you have the opportunity to eat in the restaurant. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Great bar with bonfire in the courtyard. The staff is very friendly without being intrusive. Every wish was fulfilled immediately.We liked it so much that we spontaneously changed our itinerary and stayed one night longer.Absolute recommendation!

We stayed at Newhall Mains in April 2023 with our dog Maurice.We absolutely loved our stay. The service was absolutely on point, especially Michelle, JD & Ewan who made us feel very at home.The drinks are amazing, we both work in the drinks industry and were very impressed with the attention to detail.Food was lovely too.You definitely need a car as the location is quite remote but in being so, is lovely and tranquil.We will definitely be back!Thanks guys

We spent three truly perfect days in Scotland at Newhall Mains. From the moment we arrived we were met with the most incredible and genuine service! Before arriving, we received a call from Hannah at the front desk ensuring that we knew the way to the remote but beautiful location. The entire hotel is exceptionally well renovated and the design is modern and just outstanding. Our room was delightful, cozy and full of thoughtful little amenities (a Nespresso espresso machine, free samples of the hotel’s own Scotch, and more!). After spending our days hiking and visiting small towns and distilleries in the area, we had two fantastic meals in the hotel restaurant and loved the choices and quality of the food. However we must give special praise to the entire staff. From Hannah at the front desk, JD at breakfast and Rob at the bar, everyone made us feel welcome and took a personal interest in our wellbeing and enjoyment of the trip. We were genuinely sad to leave, and plan on coming back very soon!

My partner and I had a wonderful evening at Newhall Mains on 25th June 2022. We had pre-dinner drinks in the sunny courtyard before our meal. The local gin was terrific, made even better by the beautiful surroundings. Our meal was excellent. Local produce was served and the wine selection was fantastic. The barman was very knowledgeable about the different wines on offer and he helped us to choose one that went extremely well with our meal. The views from the restaurant were wonderful and we dined as we watch the sun go down over the fields beyond. All the staff were very pleasant, friendly and attentive but without being intrusive. A lovely evening. Thank you David and all the team.
