The Manor House Hotel Cockermouth

Excellent value. Great stop over on a cycle tour. Friendly , clean and one of the best breakfast going. Cockermouth is well worth a visit.

The staff were amazing, they couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. We had an early start the next day, and we were given an amazing takeaway" breakfast for the next day. The evening dinner was absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed the turbot. The only "criticism" was there too much food! Thanks to Kane

On arrival we were met by a lovely lady at reception and given our room card. The decor and furnishings were perfect for the architecture of the building. After a few hours in the town we came back for drinks and hosted by a polite and well turned out barman before retiring to our room which was spot on for an overnight stay. We freshened up in the modern bathroom and enjoyed a comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast was exceptional and full of variety. The two ladies who waited on us were also exceptional. I am always happy to point out flaws when giving reviews but on this occasion it's a massive 10/10

Lovely little hotel, clean, tidy, cosy, everything you need for a good nights sleep. I stayed 2 nights on business. I didn’t dine in the evening but had breakfast on both mornings and it was excellent. Staff were superb, polite, friendly & helpful

We stayed for 3 nights as a large group of walkers. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was brought forward to enable the group to get out early. The food was excellent and plentiful. Nice fresh fruit at breakfast together with a quality cooked breakfast with a choice of options. Our evening meal was very good indeed, lots of vegetables and very tasty options. The dessert surprise was delicious.Rooms were very good and very clean and comfortable.One evening we couldn't finish our bottle of wine. It was chilled for us and put in our room for when we returned the next day in a cooler with two glasses. I lovely kind touch to our stay which was much appreciated.Thank you very much for a great stay.

Absolutely brilliant location, lovely friendly staff, powerful power shower. The breakfast was something to behold. Highly recommended.

The Manor House has recently started serving to the public through the week and we have heard the fabulous reviews and decided to attend!All I can say is that the food, service and surroundings were absolute perfection. The food is incredible and made with such incredible ingredients, skill and talent. I thoroughly recommend to attend it really was a first class experience. The service was also brilliant and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be booking again very soon and it is a credit to Cockermouth to have somewhere that is a real fine dining experience. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Lovely place with lovely staff. Rooms are very cosy and it's a great location. The food is outstanding, very highly recommended.

Staff were super friendly. Service was excellent! Lovely location. The loft room was very warm but there was a fan provided.. the bed was a bit hard for my liking but my partner didn't mind it.

Fabulous food, best breakfast with great attention to detail and super service, chef completely on top of his game. Everywhere so clean and comfortable, mattress not quite to the high standards found throughout things hotel. Hosts friendly and always approachable and helpful.
