Dolphin Removals and Storage Ltd

Our removal was complex as the house sale chain broke and we suddenly needed storage; but Dolphin stepped up, packing our goods on one morning and storing them a day later. The office staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly, and the packers and removers equally so, plus they were very careful with our fragile items. An added bonus was the fact that Dolphin had estimated a certain number of storage units for our possessions, but when the number required came to less, they told us and reduced the charge accordingly, which illustrates the honesty we have encountered in dealing with this firm. We strongly recommend them.

A moving date which kept changing took me by surprise and my removals firm couldnt do alternative date. Stephanie organised another company to do the move and organised cancellation insurance so I wouldn't be out of pocket if move date changed again. I hope the sub contractors who move us are as efficient as stephanie. She deserves 5 stars but I still await move .

The removal team from Dolphin were really fantastic, we had 23 years of assorted belongings to move and store over a day and a half. Mike as foreman was amazing, he managed the team brilliantly to get everything done in time. The whole team were really polite and nothing was too much trouble. They dismantled items of furniture where needed and took care wrapping and protecting fragile items. We would heartily recommend Dolphin, a great combination of competitive pricing and excellent service.

We used Dolphin to move house from Manchester to Derby.Josh initially did a phone chat with me to see what needed moving, and his quote was competitive.I managed to book them at short notice, they were thankfully available.The lads who came round were very polite and just got on with the job without complaint. (Neil and Mike I think?)Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for our key to be released, which they were understanding about, and we thank them for their patients, as it must have been just as frustrating for them as it was for us.I'd certainly recommend them.

From the minute I spoke to Chris at Dolphin, I knew our move from London to Liverpool was in safe hands. I showed him around our flat via Zoom call, and he sent over a competitive quote. We confirmed our booking via email and paid using bank transfer. It was all very straightforward.The packing team in London arrived promptly, were extremely professional, and packed up our 2 bed flat efficiently. They didn’t let us lift a finger! Equally, the team in Liverpool unloaded the truck quickly and placed boxes in the relevant rooms making our unpacking straightforward. They also assembled our beds and sofa, and helped set up our TV to ensure we felt right at home.I highly recommend Dolphin for your next move.

Myself and my partner used Dolphin for our house move. They responded quickly via email or WhatsApp. You send them photos for them to gauge the size of van and quote rather than somebody coming to the house to assess which we preferred.We already had the keys so the van arrived in the morning and loaded our pre-packed boxes. The three guys who came were very friendly and professional. They took care with our belongings and stowed them well in the van.A very quick process and I would highly recommend them!

Moving house is (I found) incredibly stressful. The team from Dolphin were so helpful from the very first and subsequent phone calls and the removal team who I cannot praise highly enough. We employed Dolphin to relocate our family from Manchester to Northern Ireland. Pre-move communication was good and any queries dealt with. The price was the cheapest was had recieved by some distance which raised concerns, however I was reassured about how other removers may charge and in the end we decided to go with a local family run business as opposed to a large national.The move itself was a bit hit an miss, we paid for a packing service who arrived the day before to pack. The vast majority of our items were packed into boxes, however I had been specified wardrobe carriers to avoid clothes being squashed. These didn't materialise and so our clothes were packed into boxes for 48 hours and all needed to be re-ironed or suits taken to the dry cleaners. I'm informed after the move that because our move wasn't a sameday service, the carriers could not be provided.I was also expecting an 18 tonne truck to make the move, however this job was sub-contracted out to a remover from Ireland who was using two luton size vans. So along with this surprise, one of the vans was delayed dropping off 2 hours away and arrived with 30 minutes to go before we had to be out.Despite the lack of communication about who was handling the move, the assembled team were pleasant and profressional and even though they were concerned with being overweight carried on - a top team under pressure!I woud recommed using Dolphin, but be sure they confirm what type of packing service you would recieve and who will be undertaking your move, some of the handling onto the van of our artwork and framed photos was a concern and some items have been scratched as they are only blanket wrapped, not bubble wrapped, same for a TV. The damages are not enough to warrant an insurance excess but they are noticable and dissapointing.I'm sure the team will address these concerns, and don't let it put you off getting a quote!

Moved 33 years of “stuff” the 3 guys were totally professional throughout the move. Very helpful very careful couldn’t fault them. If you’re thinking of moving I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company. 10/10
