The Groom Room Ashford

Used for many years however the last 2 visits I am 98% sure they did not actually bathed my dog, instead just use a powder brush! After getting him home (via car) he still clearly stinks absolutely waste of £35. Thought it was a one off but clearly not, shall not be returning.

My other half paid an extra £8 for a shedding treatment that he was offered on arrival. Our dog still had alot of loose hair despite paying for that plus the standard groom costs.Our dog has now has now developed kennel cough from his last visit.

This is one of those reviews I’ve been meaning to do for a while.We’ve struggled to find a decent Groomer for daisy our springer spaniel for a while as she has sensitive skin and suffers with clipper rash. And on one occasion made her badly ill.Anyhow, she has been to the groom room three times now, every time she has always seen Kitty. She is polite, friendly and amazingly talented.Admittedly it’s about £5 more than I used to pay but if I was to do it myself it would take about two hours, and frankly I’d rather not.The deposit system from a businesses prospective wastes non show appointments and I can see why they do this.

Our German shepherd missy had her 1st ever full groom today and she looks beautiful!! She came home so happy and with her cute little bandanna ☺️ She seemed so happy and comfortable with the lady’s they done an amazing job thank you!

I have been taking my rescue dog here for nearly 3 years, the girls are pleasant Kitty was the far better groomer that sadly left. They have so many staff keep leaving here.The owners/management need to respect there staff and treat with the respect they deserve.Grooming isn't easiest job to do,

Took my little girl to the dog groomers on Friday. What a mess. What a big disappointment. When I asked for a trim she’s been shaved to the bone. I can honestly say I do not recognise her. My poor girl was apparently so naughty. I was also told it’s double the price next time as it took 2 people to hold her. She’s the smallest cute little girlWe won’t be returningNot the nicest of staff or placeI really feel some one with management need to over look the place. And see what’s happeningCustomer service goes a long way

Fantastic place to get your dog groomed. Lovely staff who are very helpful. Our golden retriever looked wonderful when we collected her. Highly recommended

I visited Pets at Home earlier today with my dog at around 12:55 just to see if they could trim her nails. Eventually someone said they were all going on their lunch break at 1pm without really elaborating further but insinuating that i should wait around until after they get back from lunch. Firstly, unfriendly staff with poor communication skills. Secondly, very unhelpful staff who cannot quickly trim nails in five minutes before they ALL go off for lunch.Apparently their lunchtime hours differ wildly. I spoke to someone else on the shop floor who appeared to be more senior and offered them some constructive criticism which was that maybe at least one person should be available to cover the lunch break or have a set period every day for when they close for lunch and have this stated online. He was again quite defensive and unfriendly. Basic manners would go a long way, and if they don't have basic manners then some basic customer communication skills would certainly help.In hindsight the poor customer service is probably just a reflection of the often underpaid and untrained staff that work there, typical of a faceless corporation. Use a smaller independent dog groomer instead who take more pride in their service and who care more about their customers.

When I booked I was told it would cost me £30 because I didn’t want a “full groom” I literally just wanted my mulshi’s face tidied up and the length shorter round his legs.I was then told I had to leave a £15 deposit for the appointment. Ridiculous if you ask me. I normally get him groomed somewhere else but they were fully booked for weeks, he really needed the trim, so I though I’d give the “groom room” a try and paid the deposit.When I dropped him off I was asked if I wanted his nails trimmed, which is normally included where I usually take him, so I said yes. The. I was asked if I wanted extras, ie nicer smelling shampoo, again ridiculous, I said no.When I picked him up he looked fine. Then I was charged £41. When I said I was told £30 she just said no it £41. She then asked if I wanted to use the £15 deposit to pay towards it or roll it over to the next appointment. Safe to say I used it to pay as I have no intention of taking him back to be ripped off again.Once I got him home I discovered he still had little knots around his legs which I pointed out to the when I dropped him off, and mattes between his paws! Frankly I’m left wondering why I bothered. I’m now going to have to take him to my normal groomers and ask them to fix it.My advice to anyone thinking about trying the Ashford groom room out, don’t bother. There’s a reason they have so many appointments.
