We stayed at the Glen Mohr for the week of the Loch Ness Marathon, and enjoyed everything about this hotel. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The location--right next to the River Ness--was perfect. It was convenient to restaurants and stores, the train station, and anything else we needed in Inverness. The room was big and comfortable. The bathroom was big; had great water pressure in the shower. The attached restaurant had delicious food. I had no idea what to expect; but I was absolutely thrilled with this hotel and would recommend it to anyone going to Inverness.

Best place I've stayed in a while. Huge bathroom, great view of water and walkway. Great dinner restaurant, breakfast not as good. Wonderful atmosphere. I had local salmon and whiskey (yum).

Nice big room with a great view. Very friendly and good service from reception. Breakfast service was slow... It was a buffet, but you had to wait for tea/coffee/toast to be brought to the table. It took forever on the first morning. There were also stains on the bed sheets and burn holes in the carpet. The location and friendliness makes up for all of this.

Great hotel situated right on the water. Great breakfasts and friendly staff. I was there with work but will go back with my wife. Room was really comfortable...only issue was the WiFi was patchy in the room.

I enjoyed Afternoon Tea here in the bar. You can enjoy it in the lounge or snug too.The aroma of freshly baked scones fills the air and the clinking of the crockery as the tiered stand filled with culinary wonders is laid out on a bar table, making you happy and the belly rumble.Buttery, ever so slightly crumbly scones served with pots of clotted cream and raspberry jam taste delicious. There's an array of dainty finger sandwiches from smoked salmon and cream cheese to egg and cress mayo.Sweet treats, meticulously crafted, and the most moist and delicious Carrot Cake, chocolate brownie and macarons enchant your palate.A steamy cup of freshly brewed tea in hand and you can you relax into food contentment.Great place to enjoy AT at a very decent price.

Wonderful accomodation and stunning bar let down by disinterested abysmal staff. The morbidly obese female? That served us, 19:00hrs-11/12/2023 made us feel so unwelcome we left soon after (it appeared she was letting the barman go for a break)I don't mind paying £10.00 for a beer in a nice place like this, but the staff needs to smile.Further training or a P45 required, toxic customer facing individuals like this will kill a business dead in the water.

Been a few quid spent on this place! A simply gorgeous brewery and distillery (for those who work in the industry it's extra impressive!) which makes their own beers plus, once it's aged, whisky. The beers are solid and capable but I felt a touch safe, the feel is dark and relaxed in the bar and staff were friendly despite a few till issues. I'd definitely go back especially once their whisky is ready.

We stayed here for the first time this week, for a Wedding we were attending. While the bar / reception / wedding venue was lovely and the food was good we were terribly disappointed with our room. Originally when I phoned we were not given the price it stated on the wedding package, I had to speak to multiple people to get the price stated on the package.Upon approach at 12:45/1pm, we were told our room would not be available until 4pm or any guarantee it would be ready by then -although they knew we were there for the wedding which started at 2 and wanted to check our bags in (thank god we were ready and not looking to get ready in our room). When we eventually got our card to enter the room, we were staying in the Fieldside rooms, we entered to a small room with a double bed that barely fit in the room, lots of dust behind the bed, mould from the shower, poor drainage from shower and NO TOWELS. We phoned reception around 11pm when we discovered there was no towels, reception were not bothered and seemed blank on the phone, I had to ask them for towels to be brought to the room. The bed was uncomfortable also.We won’t be staying here again if we visit the area, a shame we had a negative experience at this hotel.

Checked in after a 28 hour transit (we're from Australia) and the lady at the desk told us that the new hot water system had failed but it had been fixed and not to worry. We came back at 8:30pm after dinner and there was no heating or hot water in our room. The lovely guy at the desk was apologetic and really tried to help but in the end we moved rooms into a space not big enough for a hobbit. If I owned this hotel I would never dream of putting paying customers in the room that we were in. It was an attic and was fit for storage, nothing more. There were tears in the carpet, marks on the pillows and the bathroom was the size of an aeroplane toilet. The mirror gave me a great view of my knees as it was so low, the only redeeming quality was how much me and my partner laughed at our current situation.

Glen Mhor hotel is less of what you would expect for the price you pay.We booked a deluxe double hoping to get a nice comfortable King bed. They gave us a room up in the Attic. Where it is a bit crammed and the bed was terrible. To the point where you could feel a dent of everybody’s body plus the springs pushing into your bones. We could roughly sleep. Another thing was that the wifi signal did not reach that room in particular.Next day we asked for a change of room and the personnel where very nice about it. They changed us to a different room, but the bed was still terrible and old. We stayed there because we would be charged if we canceled. The bathroom of the new room was spacious.Breakfast was a buffet with the same food everyday, bland eggs that where tasteless. Very unfortunate experience. The location of the hotel is what you pay for, it is right beside the river, the beautiful view is always appreciated.I believe that if the price was lower it would be a great option.
