Click and collect is a joke. Nobody on the desk, waited 10 minutes to be served. I could have found my item on the shelf, queued and paid at the checkout in half the time.Maybe put a ring for attention" bell ???"

Following my 1st attempt to trying to purchasing one item online yesterday (Saturday) ...... kept saying I had three items and delivery charge too - Got worried and contacted Wickes via telephone for help. The lady on phone was very helpful and reassuring that luckily because I hadn't given any payment online - the order hadn't gone through to store.. I was able to reserve item by giving my name and contact number over phone. The lady then put item to one side for me to collect today (Sunday). Thanks to the ladies help I went into store today (Sunday) to collect my item. The staff were very helpful and I was able to give my name and item. Item was a great price. Paid for it and left EXTREMELY happy. I would definitely visit store again. There is lots of parking outside store.

If you want stand and watch your life pass you by then use the click and collect service at Newbury, this has to be the most screwed up service I have ever had the misfortune of using, ended up getting my own trolley collecting my own items and then taking them to click and collect to stand in a queue of people also standing around waiting for there orders, don’t waste your time just go down the get your items yourself and then you can stand in the queue to pay this will be slow but not as slow as click and collect. So that was two hours of my life gone

I am disabled and have bad mobility issues. Losing my balance etc. i went to Wickes today to get some plants for hanging baskets. I use a trolley to help my balance. On going to trolley bay only the big ones you pull were there which I can’t manage there were 4-5 small ones right at the back that needed a pound coin. I struggled for about ten minutes to move the large ones to get to them. On paying at the till there was very few customers about one till only open and staff stood around chatting. I explained I was disabled and would have difficulty putting my trolley back as it required moving many of the large heavy ones. I asked if a member of staff could help me please. The assistant looked at me as if I was asking the earth. Replied just leave it at the front! I replied I need to obviously move them to put it back and get my pound back. To which he just shrugged and walked away from the till to carry on the conversation with two other assistants!! Having mobility issues is hard could one of them not just come out and helped me!!!

Sadly spent ages in a queue of about 12 long whilst 3 other members of staff were elbow leaning and chatting away whilst in full view of the long queue . Poor lad on the one till that was open wasn't to blame . I also work in retail so know how hard it has been but to just stand round chatting whilst others are working and customers are waiting is not a great impression . Had to go up to these members of staff to get them to do something and it wasn't just me another customer did and thought the same . We are spending hard earned money so a bit of respectful customer service wouldn't go amiss. Jobs are hard to come by so if you have one then do your best at all times .

I ordered a shower raiser kit that was 75£ I only got the legs sent not the rest of the stuff! I have been to the shop 3 times in 8 weeks every time they said I’ll receive it I never did! I can’t recommend this place! Was our first time buying from here! What a mistake!

Thank you Newbury store, they are the only ones who answer the phone, every time (Reading or head office don't!.........ever!) Kate the Manager is so professional and helpful, I think all of the stores should be ran by her and maybe they would run a little more smoothly! Thanks Kate from Newbury Wickes - keep up the great work, it doesn't go unnoticed!!

Really good prices good products. We are renovating our house currently and have used Wickes alot. We have bought from here; internal doors, bathroom tiles, paint for skirting and door frames, sliding wardrobe doors, plasterboard, copper pipe, sealant for windows, concrete blocks and much more etc. We are doing our kitchen next and will definately be coming back for more! All due to good prices and a good selection.

Click & collect order contained an item with a hole in packaging, and contents incomplete. Shop assistant took the time to understand the issue and to sort it out, which wasn't easy as there were no complete items of the same type. Thank you.

It's a big warehousey type place full (nearly) of building stuff and big boys toys. They had what I wanted with a good system for people to get through the store. The checkout was well organised and painless with no dramas. Not the sort of place I'd want to go holiday to but useful nevertheless.
