Utterly patronising

This is a shocking excuse for a solicitors firm and would recommend to anyone thinking about employing their services for any conveyancing issues to think twice. There is an apparent lack of competence in the firm as well as an arrogance in how they deal with their paying clients. The MD Charles spoke to us in a manner which was unbecoming of a director of a solicitors practice. We wasted a lot of time and money with this firm and we hope no-one else suffers the same fate.

Shocking. I don't usually leave bad reviews because I don't think it is fair but this company needs to change or fold. Please- if you are a decent person looking for solicitors- avoid at all costs. You will be ignored unless you get the point where you are copying in the MDs so that the people dealing with you are held accountable. Our very simple sale (first time buyers- last owner of house deceased...) took twice as long as it needed to. Lots of undue stress. Tried to send invoices after final bill.Feel free to recommend to your worst enemies.

I have had many dealings with Gould & Swyane (Wells), usually for conveyancing and commercial leases. I have mostly corresponded with Jason Legg and Gian Floris. Both are knowledgeable and have dealt with matters in a very efficient and timely manner. I find their pricing competitive and will continue to use Gould & Swayne in the future as we have built up a great business relationship.

Fees to sell a registered plot of land. Simple transfer. No searches required. Over £800. More than my last sale of a house. Rip off

I work for a housing developer and we use Gould and Swayne for all our transactions (both industrial and residential). They have always offered an exceptional service. Jason Legg in particular is one of the most conscientious Solicitors you could instruct although all the staff are very helpful. I would definitely recommend them 100%.

AVOID AT ALL COSTSPublic are entitled to leave their reviews with Google when they have had a bad experience yet Gould and Swayne try and have them taken downI second the review left by Samantha Vining and Lauren Bowley.These are honest reviews!!!We have been using Hollie Bailey and Gould and Swayne and would never advise anyone to ever use this company ever again !!!The stress that this company has caused is unbelievable.They charged us double what was quoted. They add things like Fee Pledge and other charges that other solicitors have never heard of. They charged us for an Insurance Policy that we never asked for. Be aware of this as they add it in and you dont know till you get the final bill. They try and keep any interest that is accrued on your money. The Land Registry admin fee and the Stamp Duty admin fee they charge £50 !! when the actual cost is £4.30.They have taken over 7 months to sort out a sale on a simple flat and their charges just alone are £2200!! without any other fees. This company have totally ruined what would have been a nice property and cost us thousands in the process with their greed and incompetence.We have now had to report to the Law Society and employ another solicitor to do all the work again. We will be suing this company. Do not use this company unless you want alot of stress, be told lies and lose alot of money. We will be making sure this information is put on every review site to warn others. This company are trying to take down reviews but this will not stop us exposing them. Anyone else notice that Hollie Bailey has actually left a 5 star review on her own company Google review !! This is fraud !!!
