Recently had an eye test here, it was under an eye care voucher. The front end service from John organising the appointment and handling the technical fit of the glasses was excellent. The actual eye test performed by Gav was thorough, relaxed and informative and the prescription was spot on. I've used a number of opticians over the last 10 years but this has been the best.

Just took my dad to the Nottingham store today. John was really helpful. John sorted some frames out as he listened to the type of frames my dad likes while I had my eye test. Gav explained some stuff to him about his eyes.

Very thorough eye examination, not rushed with time to answer my questions. Gav went through results slowly and I feel I had an excellent, professional experience.The staff in the shop were personable and helpful also.

Returning customer, great visit as always all staff members very friendly and helpful even though the store was very busy was greeted on entry and was given time to browse the large array of frames and never felt rushed, even had cup of coffee thanks to Leanne, John and gav.

I've been coming here for a few years now and the service is exceptional. I never feel rushed or pressurised, Leanne is very friendly and patient. I've had my eyes tested with Gav who explained everything - again, didn't feel rushed.The glasses I've had are more expensive than I've had from a certain optician chain but the quality of the frames and lenses are excellent, I could see the difference in lens quality straight away. I joined the Style Service which lets you have two pairs which you pay monthly for so I had a pair of varifocal glasses and a pair of varifocal sunglasses.Lovely little shop that is so peaceful, no hustle and bustle like the big chains that make you feel like you're on a conveyor belt passed from person to person. I always look forward to coming here.

Gav was really thorough in conducting the eye test and explained everything clearly. I felt like my concerns were listened to. The staff in the store who helped me select my frames were also really professional and kind. The frames are quite pricey if you're on a limited budget, although there is a budget range, but overall the experience was a positive one.

Going to the optician over the last 10 years since I have needed glasses has previously felt like a chore and I usually put it off for too long. However my trip to David Clulow has completely changed my view (pun intended!) Optometrist Gav really listened to my concerns about finding the right prescription and my attempts to describe how my eyesight had changed. He was patient and supportive, unhurried in his approach, reassuring throughout the eye test, allowing me time to hone down the right focus and explained everything thoroughly.John then helped me to choose the right frames, having listened closely to my requirements, selected a range of options for me to try, staying with me and giving honest and sincere feedback until I found exactly what I wanted. There was no pressure at all, just complete professionalism. The store itself was a haven of calm, a very different atmosphere from my previous experiences of having an eye test and choosing eyewear with other big players in this market. I have bought 2 pairs of glasses (one of which are prescription sunglasses) signing up for the style plan which allows you to spread the cost of the glasses and get further benefits. Highly recommended for the high level of service so far. I can't wait to pick up my new glasses!
