Trumpington Pavilion

We booked the Pavilion for a first birthday party and it was the perfect venue. It's a great space with lots of light and French doors opening onto an outside terrace. The facilities are excellent, there are plenty of tables and chairs (including high chairs for babies and small chairs for toddlers), a well equipped kitchen, a soft play set (optional extra when booking) and baby change in one of the toilets. The price was reasonable and we think it was excellent value. We also found the Pavilion staff to be very friendly and helpful.If you decide to book this venue for a party, I would suggest allowing no less than 45 minutes before and after the party to set up and clear up.

We started cleaning up 30 minutes before the our booking ran out, in order to ensure that we are all ready to go when time was up. However, even if we were constantly cleaning up, one of the staff (the caretaker) arrived when our time was up and immediately started displaying abusive and rude behaviour. We were trying our best to get everything wrapped up but he showed no patience and talked to us in an arrogant and derogatory manner, whilst we remained civil.Furthermore, when we were leaving, he continued to harass us, shouting at us without a hint of respect and aggressively throwing rubbish as we were trying to leave. In addition, he had the audacity to blame his appalling behaviour at the fact that he had kids at home even though we were only ten minutes late - and started cleaning 40 minutes ago. Sadly, even though we were constantly apologising for the slight delay, not once did he lower his tone - even going to the extreme and shouting, Next time I'll bring a hammer!"

We use the Pavilion every week for our Stitchers meetings on Monday evenings. We find it an excellent venue, kitchen is well equipped and clean, as is the whole building. It is great to have access to tables and chairs that we can arrange as needed. Staff always helpful if we need to make changes or need anything special. The green space outside makes it feel peaceful and not overlooked. Feels like home from home, we love it!Carol

We visit this place on 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month alongwith our little one so that he can interact with other kids in the playgroup. Toys, books and refreshments are provided so that it's a good change not only for the kids go also the parents. The only thing is that kids have to be taken care of by their own parents.

We had a fantastic time yesterday. It was great having the room and patio area were the children could play safely on St George's Green and our family could sit and chat, watching everyone play. The facilities were perfect, with the extra Soft Play, disabled loo and baby changing room. There was also a great kitchen and plenty of cups, glasses and cutlery for what we needed. Sue-Ellen, the Manager, was so friendly, helpful and professional. It was a very sunny, successful afternoon, we should have booked the whole day!

It was a 30th birthday celebration, fun was had by all, we could not haveasked for more, sun shining great facilities. The office staff were very kindand extremely helpful.
