Homely and traditional wee pub which has been a feature of this area of Arbroath for many years. Decent pint in quiet surroundings. Friendly staff. Worth a visit

Had the awful experience of crossing paths with this establishment on Saturday past (06.07.2019), during a trip across Scotland's east coast. I'm a gay rangers fan and part of the union grizzly bears, we weren't expecting Arbroath to have much of a nightlife however we would never have anticipated what we encountered. It was a lovely summers day, the breeze was... stupendous. Due to the weather, we were well dressed for a pub crawl - each citing the famous Glasgow Ranger's shirts along with our customary union jack hot pants. As we approached the pub, we were met with wolf whistles and grunts from various reprobates outside. Despite this, we continued to enter. There was a fully grown rugby scrum taking place inside the bar, drinks were flying everywhere. I proceeded to order my standard drink sex on the beach" however the barman said it was not available
