Quick service. Food arrived promptly. Child friendly.DownsidesMusic was too loud.We presented an offer voucher from UK not deals which was valid until the end of Jan however the member of staff was not able to accept this for some reason.Some of the decor showing signs of wear

Came to this Nando’s as I usually do not have a bad experience but this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had and will never be returning!On arrival, there was no mention that sunset or fino pittas or butterfly chicken was not available. When it came to ordering - that’s when we were told … but we decided to order anyway as it was late of the evening and didn’t have time to travel to another Nando’s.When ordering - I always opt for bottled water- but to no surprise they had none available. I ordered 2 bottomless and I also suggested I would be happy to have my own bottled water but if I could be provided with a glass- I was given a glass small enough for my toddler to drink probably 2 sips out of. I asked for a taller glass but Nando’s assistant couldn’t trust one of their loyal customer on not helping myself to their bottomless drinks despite me telling the assistant I am more than happy for him to watch me drink my bottled water and that I have no interest in their fizzy drinks. Once I spoke to a manager he KINDLY authorised the use of a taller glass. I then presented my NHS ID which was also refused - I am a staff nurse working for an NHS trust but had they cared to look at my ID badge properly they would see NHS written in the corner. At this point I was extremely annoyed and wanted to walk out but I had two hungry relatives and did not want to spoil their meal.My meal arrived. I’ve had better at this and other Nando’s but I’d say my experience today was the worst I’ve ever had. My cousins chicken was drier than the Sahara desert and the overall experience just ruined the atmosphere.The waiter who originally served me had later approached me to apologise for not providing me with a suitable glass to drink my water out of. I did not find this satisfactory at this point.Really poor service , really poor experience and would not recommend.

Visited here today and it was an absolute shambles, it’s got to be the worst Nando’s and experience ever… firstly it took 30-40 mins to get a table, when inside there was loads of empty table that just hadn’t been cleaned ready for the next customer.Then when I went to order they only had one till open at 8pm (peak dinner time) when I asked they said only 1 till open due to being able to order at the table but if everyone wants to order at the till surely they should accommodate accordingly. The manager was not helpful at all, when a worker asked if they should open a till she took them to the side and they just both walked away talking and laughing! Not professional at all! Some staff were attentive and there to help but some just weren’t! Food was okay but portion sizes were a joke!! Been to other Nando’s and the portion sizes have been decent for what you’re paying but here was a joke! The assistant manager helped to make sure we had everything but to be honest we will not be coming here again it was a very bad experience and the wait time for everything is atrocious!! And to go out on a rare occasion and to spend so much and have an experience like that is unacceptable.

Paid £25 for a sharing platter for two and chicken was so small, absolutely not worth the price. The size of the chicken thigh" could be eaten in 3 bites. The butterfly chicken was inedible because of a strange taste

Customer service lets the place downPrice: £9 for sharer mash and spicy riceRevisit: YesFavourite Bit: Food Quality, locationLeast favourite: Customer service, no que and it was fairly quiet, waiting a while to be tended to, then given attitude by the worker, even though no has asked us or instructed us what to do, not to mention collection was 10.20 and they gave it to us 15 mins late ruining the meal. Place was just a mess and staff had no clue what was going on.Overall: 3/5

I went to this Nando’s in Star City on Saturday on the 12th August 2023 with my very close Khala and with my Cousins.My 1/4 Extra Hot with Peri Peri Chips and with Spicy Rice was delicious.The Salted Caramel Cheesecake was delicious with the Creamy Sauce.The next time I go to Birmingham I will come to this Nando’s again.I had a very nice time and I enjoyed it very much.Thank YouNando’s Birmingham Star City.

I’m a regular customer at nandos and have hit and miss experiences. However the past couple of times I’ve been I’ve been given great customer service experience by a the host (Asian guy with curly hair and mullet). One time I was unsatisfied with the quality of the food and he happily helped to replace it without any hesitation. I was very satisfied with his service and manners. You should have more people like him as they’re rare nowadays. :)

Got to claim my free quarter chicken before it's taken off my loyalty card, which is a bit wrong, since I've earned it. The £7 tax on my bill left a bitter taste in my mouth, took a daily of four bill to over £40. Plus side, had to wait less than an hour, but didn't get a text message to say my table was ready, just happened to ask how much longer. Staff were as helpful as ever. Went back in August and had the burger which was very tasty but the bun could have been softer. The portion of chips has been greatly reduced I noticed. They now brought out chicken cheese melt with fries but it was cold and very little cheese. Stick to burger and sauce in alum rock I'd say. Not enough staff, same guy that showed us to our table, brought our food

Poor and slow service.There was only one staff on the till to take orders. Had to wait over 10 mins just to place our order.The manager who was at the tills could see the queue was growing longer and longer yet totally ignored it!When the food arrived, the staff serving us was mumbling to the point where we had to ask him to repeat himself 3 times and even then we couldn’t make out what he was saying. They got 2 things on the order wrong!Not a great visit.
