Paolo's fish and chips
This is my go to chip shop and generally the chips are spot on but I have had a couple of portions that tasted as if the chips had been sat a while. Fortunately this is in the minority and hasn't put me off using them. Just don't order through just eat as the delivery drivers are useless and Paolo's can't do anything if the order isn't delivered correctly

Great gluten free experience. Coeliacs can eat with confidence here... the shop uses a separate GF fryer but ring half an hour ahead with your order in case it isnt on. GF fish and chips which was excellent. Partner said the gravy and cheesy chips were also good. Photo is of GF portion.

Received wrong order when I rangthe shop I Was argued with and basically called a liar and fobbed off that they couldn't send missing items because they don't employ the drivers. Very poor attitude from staff Paul. You've lost a customer sorry pal

Sorry Carlisle but if this is one of the best chip shops in town, you need to get out more. We had 2 x cod & chips delivered (3.6 miles) and they were really quite cold when they arrived but worse, the chips were greasy and the batter on the fish was soft, spongy and full of grease. Poor show, Paolo.

The best fish and chips by a mile!! Fresh, crispy batter, piping hot chips all served with a smile. Great value too - what are you waiting for ?? Get yourself down there.

This is the only fish shop in the whole of Carlisle that I use, the food is always excellent as is the service. Definitely the best fish and chips
