Managed to get me in short notice. Parts and repair all ordered and completed the same day. Competitively priced, has a small basic waiting area but no amenities. Parking can be difficult

AVOID if you value your time! They did the job good BUT...I had booked a slot and when I left my car I have been told that there is 2 people at front of me so it will take 1-2hours". Well

I took my small van for a wheel alignment- the steering wheel still wasn't centred once they had done and it still didn't feel right.I took it elsewhere for an MOT a couple of weeks later and it failed on the track rods and suspension arm- the tester said he had no idea how they would have been able to adjust the alignment in the state it was in.When the track rods were replaced, it was obvious that they hadn't been adjusted- it took heat and a hammer to free the locking bolt off and it was covered in rust so had clearly not been moved any time recently.All-in-all I'm 99% sure they couldn't/didn't try to do the adjustment, just told me they had done it and sent me on my way.Very disappointed as I find the staff in Halfords stores to be very professional and helpful- such a shame the same can't be said for this garage.

Have had occasion to use Halfords Auto Centre 3 times recently, for a service, an MOT, and a diagnostic problem. We have had very good customer service. The staff particularly on the front desk are cheerful and helpful. A good experience all round.

2 cars in 2 consecutive days both failed MOT because of wipers. Then asked for £50 to fix the wipers otherwise the MOT would fail. Coincidence? I think not. Lot of other issues as well.

I had an MOT completed today.I was originally booked in for 3pm, but was advised my appointment could be bought forward following a cancellation. I took my car down and was told it would take approximately 45 minutes to complete. I returned in the alloted time with the MOT completed and was given advise on my advisories and what could be completed on site, should I wanted that. I spoke to Jamie. Great service, professional communication. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Don’t bother as I’m not sure where they get their vortices from !! But to be twice expensive as the main VW dealer is shocking to say the least

Great service from the staff, i had two new tyres fitted, I dropped my car off in the morning, and they called me when they had completed the fitting. Polite and friendly staff. Prices for the tyres were good competitive with others in the area.

Recently took a classic car here for an MOT, it failed on 6 items in total.Bear in mind before I explain the situation, that mechanically I do all my own repair work on my vehicles and would be aware of any glaringly obvious issues. And I'll hold my hands up, I don't look around the entire vehicle checking everything before an MOT, I just normally fix things afterwards.Firstly, the staff failed to give me a courtesy call once the car had been Mot'd on the first visit , so just made my way to the service center after a number of hours. One of the failure items was excessive engine oil leak. I've clocked up around 800 miles in total since last year and my driveway is oil free, prior to the MOT and on return I checked my driveway and no signs of oil, which you'd expect from an engine excessively leaking oil! When the inspector was asked, he was unsure where the leak was coming from.Booked the retest just over a week later, still no signs of oil my driveway. Ran the engine stationary prior to the retest, no signs of excessive oil leakage..Parked the car in a specific area at the auto center and checked the same area again upon return, no signs of oil. Yet where the staff had park the car after the inspection for the retest, there were now signs of an excessive oil leak. Drove the car home and now it is leaking on my driveway. Not sure why considering past experiences regarding Mot's with this garage, I still go there, but this recent experience has put doubts in my mind, so in future I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
