Visited just for lunch. My fajitas wrap was wonderful, very tasty and large portion together with crisps and salad. So much so that the extra feta cheese salad I ordered had to be boxed and taken home. That salad too was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. All in all excellent service.

Very nice place with very good food and beer etc.The views of the Wirral, looking towards Liverpool and Chester from the outside seating area are amazingly good on a good day.Lots of walks through the woods just a few yards away from the place are also VERY nice.Easy parking.The only slight downside is that it is quite an expensive place, but I suppose you get what you pay for!!

We stayed overnight here whilst walking the Sandstone Trail. We were joined by family for a great evening meal, it was a Sunday and the nut roast was delicious.The room was very comfy and just the place to relax after a full day of walking, the bed was so comfy we were tempted to stay another night and not bother with the second day of the walk!! Breakfast was exceptional with great options for vegetarians.Overall, a really wonderful stay and we'd love to go back, we were well looked after from start to finish.We also loved the the entire pub and rooms were dog friendly.

We didn't stay in the rooms but we did dine in the restaurant.The atmosphere is so relaxed and comfortable with lovely views from the windows. The service was second to none. Apologies, I didn't catch her name but the blonde waitress (possibly the manager?!) went out of her way to find the answers to our questions and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent! And the food was outstanding. Will definitely be back, sooner rather than later.

Spent a night at the Pheasant having had an enjoyable afternoon walking the dogs. The dinner was great (had to have the pheasant) along with great local weetwood beer and excellent service.Hearty breakfast in the morning set us up for another walk with the dogs.We were in the out building rooms (Hawarden & Chester) which were very smart and comfortable.Would highly recommend.

In my top 10 pubs in the UK.First time going this week, was very impressed with the friendly staff, cleanliness and overall ambiance.The food was fantastic!The view was incredible from the front.Will be going back a lot!Loved this pub!

Lovely lovely pub with rooms.Rooms gorgeous - so well decorated and really cosy. Our room has amazing sweeping views of the Cheshire plains.Pub is so quaint. Low beams and fires. Love it.Food was fantastic. Great menu, a bit different to the usual pub fayre. We have dunes in quite a few Michelin star restaurants but this one just a good as most of them - if not better.Friendly service. And great quality.Look it up and visit. I absolutely recommend .

Was greeted by very friendly staff which accommodated us at a very busy time with no fuss. We had 3 kids under 4 years old with us who were a bit rowdy but we were made to feel very welcome. Great food with all requests met, arrived quickly too, good bar selection and service first class. 10/10 would recommend

Lovely lunch. Always best in the sunshine. Quick lunch, had olive and chat nibbles, followed by cod fishcake and venison haunch. Both delicious, no need for anything else. Service quick friendly and efficient, seating in a quiet bay with comfy chairs.

Great Sunday lunch with family, including an 8yr old. Main menu fabulous, children's too and child portions are huge. Great value for money.
