I cannot recommend RTFJ highly enough. Richard is an incredibly talented and highly experienced jeweler, and his workshop has a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Richard guided me through the process of selecting the best quality diamonds to fit my budget and created a perfect engagement ring for my fiancé. I was included throughout the process of designing and creating the ring whichmade the whole experience exciting and unique.We were so pleased with the result that we also recommissioned Richard to make our wedding bands. Excellent service and workmanship. Richard repaired a very sentimental platinum ring that belonged to my late mother. I could not be happier with the repair. Just a quick note to say a massive thank you again for creating such beautiful wedding rings for my finance and I (alongside my engagement ring which you made previously for me which I ADORE). It meant so much to us to have bespoke, handmade rings, and being able to not only include but to be there to see the melting of the gold from both my grandmothers rings, and from the promise ring my finance gave to me, into our final wedding bands is super special to us. Highly recommend Richard. He took on the restoration of my late aunts engagement ring when nobody else would touch it. I really cannot recommend Richard highly enough. I have a gold locket that my Nan gave to my Mum on her wedding day, who in turn passed it on to me on my wedding day and now it’s my turn to pass it on to my daughter when she gets married in less than two weeks. I was told by a repair company that the locket was beyond repair as the hinge was broken as well as the loop on top and the bail had degraded completely. I was heartbroken to think it had ended it’s wearable life in my possession, but then I was given Richard’s contact details. I contacted Richard on November 26th and after looking at photos I had taken and a phone call he told me he ‘liked a challenge’ and agreed to take on the repair.I received my locket back in the post yesterday! Not only had he completely cleaned and faultlessly repaired my precious locket, he’d got it back to me in time to pass it on to my daughter on her wedding day!So to anyone who’s been told their jewellery is beyond repair, contact Richard before consigning it to the bottom of your jewellery box or the back of a drawer, I am so glad I did!

I got engaged on Saturday but my ring was too small, I am going to visit family in Spain mid august so was desperate to have it resized ready for then which Richard accommodated quickly. I then found we were going to have a couple of engagement celebrations this coming weekend and Richard kindly squeezed an appointment in for me today so I could wear my ring for these too! Quick, friendly service and very accommodating! And my ring looks better than ever, highly recommend! Thankyou Richard!

I took a ring to Richard with the intention of having it completely remodelled, using the stones for a pendant. Richard suggested keeping the stones and setting intact to create a pendant. Not only was this a much cheaper option but it retained the integrity and appearance of the original item. Dealing with Richard was an absolute pleasure - a genuinely nice man - his services are highly recommended.

Richard was the whole package, friendly, extremely skilful and clearly wants his customers to be 100% happy with the result. I returned home with my engagement and wedding rings looking just like they did 50 years ago. Brilliant!
