Clifmere MOT Centre

I used the garage for my recent MOT. It was booked in last minute as I was travelling and had little time to book in advance. The staff, although clearly very busy, understood my situation and went above and beyond to help. I was able to wait in the office and found everybody to be friendly and very efficient. The price was cheaper than the last garage I had an MOT and my car passed without any extra costs like bulb replacement or fob battery etc that I have had from other places. Thankyou to all at clifmere for going the extra mile and helping me when I was stuck. All I can say for the lady who answered my first call was that her level of service is exemplary.

This was my third visit and the first not be regarded as a 5* experience. When I came to pay the oil surcharge had increased from the previous £15 to £35 for the same vehicle. This was my fault as I hadn’t revisited the small print. To improve the customer experience it would help if the additional costs were more prominent in the offer, and even better if highlighted at the time of booking. The order of work could also help reduce surprises, ie complete the service before the mot. In my case this would have highlighted a simple adjustment issue with the handbrake. Rectified after the mot costs a minimum of one service manhour circa £60 irrespective of the action. In my case it was a simple handbrake adjustment, which I completed in minutes at home, based on the guidance of the test engineer. And unfortunately could not retest on the day, and attracted a further £10 charge. Overall I am not convinced the groupon route is better than using the garage direct. As I believe their costs would be more transparent and with less surprises

Have used this garage over many years and been satisfied with the work and estimates given. However, on the last occasion, I felt well and truly betrayed and ripped off! . I'd been sent a letter advising me to have the timing belt replaced the cost of belt replacement from £265 including VAT"I booked in as advised but on collecting my car

First time my car went for service, they lost my locking nut key. Cost me £50 to replace locking nuts. Second time I went to this garage, it was an unpleasant experience with rude staff.21/06 - Re response by the owner -This level of aggression and rudeness shown in your reply is very similar to your attitude when I visited your garage. You can claim that I never visited your garage and it'd take me no time to prove you wrong. You just need to improve your service by taking criticism positively.

I had started to notice a knocking on my car and as a disabled driver the thought of being without transport was daunting. I called Cliffmere whom I have used for my MOT's previously, my car was booked in and accessed, the problem was immediately explained and done within a few hours. Thank you Cliffmere for understanding my anxiety.

I was recently on holiday in Derby whereupon unfortunately my car heater matrix failed and I was lucky enough to be directed to Clifmere.Not only were they able to source the heater matrix for me but they worked tirelessly into the weekend to get me back on the road at a very reasonable price!!Many thanks to Nathan and Tim

First time visit to Clifmere. Really impressed with how efficient and professional the whole outfit is. They got my van in quickly as I had forgotten it was due an MOT. Special mention to Lydia for fitting it in and Nathan for fab job done and great advice. Highly recommend.

Don’t recommend at all, MOT booked at 10, it’s nearly 3 o’clock and the car is not ready, this isn’t the first one either. Stay away for them

Helpful, friendly and gave brilliant advice.Fabulous service, friendly team, helpful explaining tyre safety and how to spot when need new ones. Clearly love cars as renovating very old classics. Absolutely recommend to anyone, a very cost effective MoT, thorough and helpful indeed.
