Andrew did a really good applying silicone to various rooms in our house (bathroom, kitchen, windows). He was responsive, punctual and respectful of our property. We would not hesitate recommending.

Recommended! Andrew has carried out various work for me. This included making solid wood shelves to fit an alcove, plus sanding and re-oiling all the oak worktops in the kitchen so they now look good as new. Last year he built a new decking area in the garden. His work is excellent, and he's reliable and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

I contracted Andrew Gordon (Handy Andrew) for loads of different jobs and was very impressed with the result overall.Some of the things he did over the course of a few days include (but aren't limited to):- Damp treated and painted the living room- Fixed some issues with our new kitchen that the previous fitters had messed up and left us with- Filled in numerous holes in the walls and ceilings that previous owners had left and painted over them.- Put up pictures and a large heavy mirror- Painted the bathroom- Fixed a variety of issues with some antique doors- Made and installed custom doors for some of our bedroom storage alcovesAndrew's attention to detail was spot on, and all the finishes are excellent. His after care is also excellent. For example, one of the handle holes on the storage doors was a bit lower than the other. When we flagged this he replaced it quickly at no charge which i was pleased with.I got a few quotes for this work, and Andrew wasn't the cheapest. But i've had bad experiences with other tradespeople in Brighton, and he seemed the most trustworthy and reliable. I'd much rather pay a bit more and get someone who is honest about his capabilities. For example, he informed me he generally doesn't do any work with baths and pointed me to someone who could.He also put in the extra work to get everything spot on. Andrew also gave lots of helpful advice about everything from paint choices, DIY basics and damp proofing!Overall, I highly recommend Handy Andrew for work around the house.

Andrew is multi-talented, efficient, quick, friendly, trustworthy and thoughtful as well as being reasonably priced. We had no qualms about leaving him a set of our door keys so he could do some work while we were away for a few days. He even washed up his coffee mug and vacuumed after he’d finished. Highly recommended and obviously pretty busy, so book early!

A Beautiful Yoga board, hand made by Andrew.Andrew understands wood and has an eye for detail.When I first moved into Brighton I was struggling to practice my yoga on a carpeted floor, finding it hard to balance on the carpet. I researched online and found out some yogis had solved this problem by buying a wooden platform for yoga. But I could not find any uk companies selling wooden boards for yoga. I did find youtube videos with instructions on how to make yoga platforms but didn't think I could do a pleasing job myself. I searched locally for wood workers and found Andrew. I was drawn by the pictures of his wonderfully crafted bespoke book shelves and felt he could do the job. Andrew Jumped at the chance of making a wooden yoga platform and he was happy to take on this unusual project. He kept me updated the though out the project, even given up some of his personal space to build the platform. I'm very happy. The platform is aesthetically pleasing. I can balance on the board and do my asana as if I'm in a yoga studio.
