Tattershall Lakes Country Park
I would not come back again. Caravan as expected. There should be plenty to do on site, however the swimming was fully booked, all out door activities cancelled due to a little rain and wind for the full week. Evening entertainment consisted of bingo and karaoke every night. Restaurant and bars were well over priced and staff often encouraged you to go in to town to eat. Not enough facilities to accommodate all the guests on site. Didn't see one person win anything in a full week at the arcades, my daughter wasted lots of money and was very upset when she spent a week trying to win a teddy in the grab machine. Not sure the purpose of the family pass as you still have to pay for ever activity, that's if they haven't been cancelled. And finally trying to get your money for for cancelled activities is painful as they credit your activitiy account" rather than refund you

I cannot recommend this place to stay at to be honest. The caravan was filthy, stains on the chairs and floors, dog hairs everywhere. The toilet seat was yellow. One of the pillowcases had mould on. It's super super expensive, food and drinks are crazy expensive and so are the activities if you manage to book on any. They have 4 spaces for some activities for example, no good if you're a family of 5. The facilities are way too small for the size of the park, not enough bars/restaurants/tables. Lots of odd rules like you can't order food as table service to the balcony but you can go in, order a takeaway and eat it on the balcony... The only thing that was worthwhile is the watersports, we did paddleboarding, aqua park and kayaking - this was great fun and the staff were lovely, this is a 5/5. The food was actually very nice in the restaurants and the chip shop, but they put so many chillies in the vegetarian/vegan food. Overall a very busy park that's overpriced and has very limited facilities for the sheer volume of guests. I dread to think what it's like the peak of summer! I would be cautious if you're a big family and want to do the activities, nothing worse then disappointed kids!

Its been nearly 3 months since our stay and am writing a review now as that despite being told improvements will be made its clear they haven't.We checked into Swan View 32 and immediately it was evident the lodge was filthy, dusty and below the standards we expect from Away Resorts. The floor hadn't been cleaned/mopped, the outside table and floor was covered in rubbish and dirt. The mirrors and windows were covered in prints/smears, the bathroom windows were ridden with cobwebs. The sofa was disgusting, it smelt, was completely black and had cigarette holes.I complained at guest services, in person and the response was unsympathetic and there was no immediate apology. Instead, she was irritated at my complaint and was told that it wouldn't be possible to move us but they would send someone to rectify the problems and this was the only resolution available.Upon returning to the lodge, it had been cleaned from the outside, the carpets had been hovered and a throw to cover the sofa. However it was clearly a hurried attempt at cleaning as the mirrors and windows were still smudged and the cobwebs remained. It was only as we settled into the lodge we discovered the true extend of the problems. The shower room had remains of toothpaste on the sink/floor, mould in the shower, dead flies on window sills, rubbish left on the floor, the seat was dirty and the flush button broken. There were crumbs left on the dining table benches, a sticky stain on the table, the bathroom was covered in sand. There was a remote missing from the small bedroom and the one from the lounge had the cover missing which in itself is a health and safety issue. There was also a piece of furniture just left in the cupboard. The toaster had grease marks on it and the bin was disgusting! In addition the welcome pot that contains washing up items was missing and when we came to use the plates many were dirty.I complained upon our return and was told they were ensure training and process would be adhered to as a response to my compliant. However only a week after I saw an almost identical complaint on an away facebook group for the same type of accommodation.I would think twice about staying here as our experience has been hugely tarnished.

Caravans / lodges are excellent and well kept (a few niggles but nothing major). Good selection of restaurants and bars. A little pricey throughout but as a Center Parcs alternative still much more affordable. Pub nearby within easy walking distance but of same value.

We had a great week here. The park is very clean and there is lots to do. We managed to go swimming every day, which was good as the weather was lovely and hot. We stayed in a luxury dog friendly van, and it was situated in a peaceful location with a huge veranda. The only downside was my mum, who is disabled struggled as the park wasn't wheelchair friendly. The paths are very uneven and rough.

I've been here around 10 times over the last 5/6 years, each time we visit it slowly gets worse, we visited in November for the winter wonderland which turned out to be not much more than a xmas themed glorified shed. The kids wanted to play on the park adjacent to the club house early evening Saturday to which they hadn't even turned the lights on in this area. Sunday we took the kids to the pool to find the showers only running cold . The weather wasn't great (raining overnight through early morning sunday) however all roads and grassed areas flooded due to lack of drainage/maintenance. Overall it seems like they are only interested in fleecing the profits. And this has become more evident after each visit.

Okay place. We stayed in a lovely lodge with a hot tub which was enjoyable but unfortunately it's a bit of a pain to get around the park due to narrow roads. Went out for dinner one night and my food was nice but everyone else said that it was just okay and the burgers were dry. Every member of staff on site seemed very unhappy no smiles. Hats off to the bingo staff and the staff at the giggling goose for actually managing to be positive and give good service. Overall the stay was average at best for the price paid. Good place to go if you have the money to spend for activities for your children etc but just be careful when walking around as the pedestrian walkway in some areas is on the road and some drivers are not the most courteous. Would recommend doing a shop before arriving as the on-site shop has barely anything and is very expensive. Not to mention the less you have to drive in and out of the site the better. Pre-warning: parking is a nightmare for when you first arrive.

We stayed in a superior caravan, castle view 15. Great location and lovely area. The caravan was lovely but it did need a big clean as there was lots of cobwebs, spiders and marks on furniture. In a cupboard there was also loaf of bread they had been left, so the cupboards clearly hadn’t been cleaned since the previous guests. The food was lovely however but expensive and limited area for dogs in the spitfire bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a little disappointed that there was not more areas for us to be with our dog and we’re left a discount for the propeller restaurant but dogs are not allowed which was a shame as other people on the site had discounts for the dog friendly bar. The giggling goose bar was also closed which was disappointing and on our first night both of the bars were closed. We would stay at the park again and would recommend to friends however I think next time we would look at dog friendly places to eat locally rather than than on the park as it was very limited.

Unless you wish to pay a fortune to use facilities you are stuck really. As an older couple we didn’t want the activities but wouldn’t have minded being able to use bar and restaurant. But it was £80For a four day pass. So unbelievably extortionate. We left Thursday morning instead of Friday as we were bored at night and only if you fancied getting horribly lost getting to and from entrance to caravan the it was a case of stay put. What a shame tho as we had been looking forward to seeing the place. Sadly no return for us

Very disappointed with our stay. Location and caravan have no complaints about, however service was lacking. I was told by 2 of the bar restaurants listed on site you have to book even though they accepted us the night before. When I was told that the spitfire was the place we could walk in to at 8:30pm on Saturday I was told they were not accepting any more orders as they were too busy, even thought the place was half empty. Also the activities I understand you have to book things like water sports but when told we had to book the lido and there was no spaces left all day in 30°heat disappointed wasn't the word.
