Milford Roofing Salisbury

Since I wrote the very positive review (below) in 2016 my experience with Milford Roofing has been very unsatisfactory. The roof space becomes unbearably hot in summer and I have learnt from other contractors who have inspected it that Milford Roofing should have advised us of the necessity to install a dozen tile vents, or to replace the leaking roof window which they removed at our request. Several contractors who have inspected the new roof tell us the work is sub-standard - that Milford Roofing left the old slates loose under the new roofing felt, presumably to save the labour of removing and getting rid of them. Milford Roofing have failed to respond to any of my phone calls or messages. Be warned!Milford Roofing re-roofed my 1910 villa in Spring 2016, providing scaffolding, reusing many of the original slates, re-leading a long gully and replacing guttering. They did an excellent job at a reasonable price. The workmen were friendly, courteous and considerate, and Alan Lucas was unfailingly helpful. At the end of the job he carried out additional work (cleaning the attic and removing old insulation panelling) as a gesture of goodwill to ensure that the job was completed to my complete satisfaction. I am glad to recommend this company to any potential customers.

Firstly I must Say Alan was fantastic coming to help us after Storm Eleanor blew the roof from our home in January this year. His team at Milford Roofing (despite bad weather) battled through to sort out our roof and give us a great looking finish which will last for many years to come. Thank you.

Cannot recommend this firm enough had a leak coming through the roof with relentless rain turn up within a couple of hours of phoning them came over and temporarily stopped any rain getting in and returned within a few days started the job and completed it quickly tooGreat bunch of guys and a good laugh too highly recommend

I have just had all my hip tiles which had lifted re-bedded. Alan and his team were quick and efficient and I was very impressed with how they dealt with my requirements. A very friendly bunch of workmen who were polite and courteous at all times which was very important as I work from home. A five star service, thank you guys!

We asked Milford Roofing to quote to re-tile our three bedroom townhouse in Salisbury. They quickly erected scaffolding and started works on time and even finished two days early. Property was left clean and tidy and would highly recommend

Milford roofing were quick to assess and quote for removing the leaky chimney from my 1930s house. Within a couple of weeks the work was started and completed quickly despite the awful weather.Very efficient and pleasant to deal with.Thanks

It is my first ever bad review. I am writing this in a hope to save others time and money. Highly unreliable and poor quality of work. I have originally thought to let it go but today I have discovered new leaks in the area they have ‘fixed’ just a few months ago. They were very fast at erecting scaffolding and taking deposit last winter then disappeared and were not replying to calls and to emails for a few months. When I managed to get through I was advised about dates they would ‘definitely’ come and then fail to show up. My daughter’s bedroom in the meanwhile suffered significant damage with black mould requiring special treatment, replastering and new carpets. We had 3 dehumidifiers working in her room thought out the time we were waiting for the roof to be done. When they eventually turned up they were throwing tiles and other items down from the roof of the 3 storey house without warning us they were up there which was a major hazard as I have kids and pets that pop in and out of the garden. After many many request and chasing they ‘fixed’ the roof. We have remedied the bedroom. As we did not have very heavy rain till recently there was no way to check the quality of their work till this week. I have emailed them asking to contact me but haven’t heard back.
