The new unbranded white close coupled toilet (model K.VIT G2-POT180G2 according to the paperwork) was fitted by Andy Johnson on 4/12/2013. However, the cistern's filler valve and flush valve both failed in August 2016. They have no identifying brand name so cannot replace like with like. My previous toilet's internal works lasted 20 years or more (except for the ballcock) . As, unknown to me, Andy used sealant plugs, instead of screws, to fix the cistern to the bathroom wall they proved difficult to remove and cannot be re-used having now lost their adhesion, therefore, more time and expense will be required to have the cistern screwed into the wall. It would have been better to have the cistern screwed back into the wall as it can then be more easily removed and resecured when working on the toilet. Also, I paid Andy £240 plus VAT for the new toilet but was invoiced for £528 (the £200 cash payment I had made was not mentioned on the invoice). The overall cost seemed very steep but I was desperate at the time as I had no usable toilet. NB The printed Installation instructions for the filler and flush valves are written in gobbledegook English - possibly composed using a Chinese to English web translator - and almost impossible to follow now that I am replacing both valves myself. (Google and Youtube are a great help here.).
