Westport Vets - South Queensferry

Today was my first time at the practice. I have just moved up here from Yorkshire with my Yorkshire Terrier, Ricardo. He is a fairly newly diagnosed diabetic dog who has had several complicated health concerns over the past 6 months, I have been apprehensive about which vets to take him to as since we've moved here we tried Three Bridges which is my most local but was not particularly impressed with the service. From being greeted by the friendly receptionsist to seeing Sam the vet, I felt like our experience at Westport Vets has been exceptional so far. Sam was extremely knowledgeable on the topic of diabetes and I feel like Ricardo's diagnosis is going in the right direction which is really positive. We will definitely be returning to the practice and I will be recommending to my friends.Thank you

Fantastic staff, I changed vets about a year ago and have been so pleased with the care my animals have received.

Very helpful friendly they put use at ease when we went with our pup with a quick diagnosis phoning me the next day to advise what was wrong and advise her medication was ready to be picked up can't thank them enough.

Excellent vets with friendly staff that love animals. Have never experienced anything but the best of care and advice for our dog and rabbits.

Sadly I didn't have a very good experience with this vet but perhaps they can take the feedback on kindly and review how they treat people but because I didn't agree with certain things and I questioned medications etc - which I have the right to do - I don't think I hit it off well with few of them.That aside my cat was regularly injured by a stray cat and some trouble with neighbours in the area I think but when I took it to the vet the default position was it must have been me and it wasn't until I was allowed to go in after Covid and the cat came to me for comfort that they accepted the cat was not abused. That was so hurtful.I was on a low income at the time and so I had to go to the PDSA as well when I could but needed a local vet.There were some helpful people there as well but given that I am on the autistic scale as well they were really dreadful with me and not too cheerful. I know times are hard but it makes a difference. I've moved and left now and feel like I can freely say how I struggled.Thank you to those there that were kind.
