Coventry NHS Walk-in Centre

Went here at 9pm as advised by a chemist got there to be told they’re not taking any appointments even though it closes at 10pm. I also called before hand 3 times no one answered. When I got there there was 4 staff sat behind reception all chatting. I Was in the car park for 4 minutes and got charged £1.50.

Very efficient service, yes we had to wait to be triaged then see the doctor, but it was pretty busy. All staff were polite, friendly and caring, the receptionist, the nurse and the doctor. We were all done and dusted in 1.5 hours. Very fortunate to have this service, thank you to everyone there.

Seeing a lot of negative reviews so thought I would add a positive one as I expected the worst from the previous reviews but that’s not the experience I had. I had a better experience with them than my own GP over the past 2 years. I went at around 8pm 12/04 the receptionists were both nice (one was a bit blunt but in my opinion that’s just getting straight to the point when they probably have people moaning at them all day everyday), I only had to wait in the waiting area for 40 mins so I must have gone at the right time. There was nothing wrong with the hospital, it was clean and not in disrepair. I was seen to by Doctor Dev (I think that’s his name) he was really nice and gave me the advice and got me the prescription I needed quickly. The only downside is that they don’t have their own late night pharmacy. It was an oddly pleasant experience for a doctor’s surgery. I would recommend.

I would like to highly recommend the Country NHS Walk-in Centre.We took our 5 month old in for a wheeze and cough, and were signed in and triaged withing 15 minutes.Once we saw Dr Mahmood, he proved himself to be exceptionally helpful and reassuring. We were very impressed with his professionalism and bedside manner, he had our daughter smiling and giggling within 10 seconds of being in there and managed to conduct all of the observations whilst keeping our daughter (and us) at ease.Thank you again to all of the incredible staff at the Centre.

After having waited over an hour with my three year old daughter. The receptionist came out and said doctors were not seeing anymore patients!! To either go to A n E or come back tommorow. There were only two patients left to be seen. I appreciate it doctors may have been busy. However they should be more empathetic to a three year old with servere ear infection.

Really excellent service. Had an appointment arranged through 111 when my daughter was ill. We were seen very promptly by a very pleasant doctor.

I went to walk in center last night after a disappointing wait at UHCW hospital of over 12 hours and seeing no one.On arrival i was prewarned the wait time was over 4 hours. Which for me was better than going to the hospital and not knowing when i was going to be seen. Triage was very quick and i ended waiting around 2 hours which was a lot less than expected.Receptionist were kind and helpful. When asked how long they informed me there were quite a few people ahead so it is about 3 hours from the time.Once we saw the doctor he was very thorough read the long notes as I had already called 111 service 3 times in the last 24 hours as well as waited at the hospital for over 12 hours. Did checks, sent off urine sample and 36 hours since i started seeking help from the NHS I finally got medication and advice to help my 4 year old.They were all shocked by the treatment of the hospital. At some point before i got to the walk in center i was told my daughter must be seen and told to go to the hospital from the 111 service and I point blank refused and literally burst into tears from the thought. I said the hospital does not recognise my daughter as a priority and being in the hospital for 12 hours has definately had an adverse effect on her health. She is till currently weak but at least now she does have the medicine to be on the road to recovery.Thank you UTC staff.On a side note i think there should be a late pharmacy and or shop for people to buy meds or snack when needed.

Whilst visiting the walk-in centre, on the 8th of June 2023, the parking payment machines had a Out of Order

I wasn’t feeling well so attended the walk-in today today. I’ve never been before and found the parking initially a little hard to find. Once inside, the service was perfect. Booking in took mere seconds, triage with the nurse had taken place barely five minutes later. Half an hour after this I’d seen the doctor and was waiting in the in-house pharmacy for my prescription. There’s a lot of negative press about the NHS but the service today was incredible and I want to extend my thanks to all the staff for their friendliness, efficiency and professionalism.
