Lovely warm atmosphere when entering with plenty of light. Luncheon menu is not a large one but varied. Two dishes ordered, one small fish and chips ( dont know how big a large one was), perfect light batter with great chips. one chicken and choritso pasta dish, very good and plentiful. Both dishes well cooked, hot and nicely presented. Good lunchtime.Put garlic bread as an extra for the pasta.

My Mother-in law, my wife and I, thoroughly enjoyed our different meals and the service. The food was so delicious, we decided to book a table for the family on Christmas Day. Edmund was a pleasant host. Many thanks

This is a gem of a place really enjoyed our visit the food and the service we had. It's called the Windmill likely as it's next to what was an old mill now used as a gallery. They have a small car park to the side and rear and parking is not really big enough for the venue. The building is deceptive and they have a good amount of tables inside. They do have a few tables outside which would be ok in the summer. They have a great menu and a specials board, the three in our party all had different meals and all were excellent. The waitress was very attentive and they made a small modification to one of the set meals on the menu as one item wasn't to the persons taste, it appeared to be no issue.Would love to return and try some of the other items on the menu.If you are close make it a stop for food.

After a lovely canal walk we had lunch at the Windmill. The vibe was warm welcoming tradional pub but bright and fresh - just what we were after. It had a designated doggy dining area which we prefer, we had two with us. There was a help yourself treats station! Water bowls were offered on arrival. The pies were fantastic, out of this world! The bubble and squeak starter and chicken liver parfait very good too. Only reason 4 not 5 stars is one of our group thought the peri peri chicken burger could do with a bit more peri peri but that is personal preference, but I have to stay the cheese pie I had was next level! Staff were so helpful and naturally friendly. And a good amount of parking. It was a glorious day so we did have to wait a couple of mins for a free space but nothing crazy. We are not local, we came for a sunny canal walk with friends and have decided we will definitely return here again! Expectations should be good British village pub with excellent pub grub, thats super dog friendly - perfect for walkers all around.

Booked this only a couple of hours beforehand. Staff were really accommodating. Special room for those with dogs including treats. Service is excellent, food very nice and reasonably priced. There was a slight problem with the bill but staff sorted it immediately and all good. Definitely recommend this pub. Thanks for being so welcoming.

Great honest pub grub at a way higher standard than most pubs. Very friendly and welcoming service. Will be back on my next visit to Parbold.

My wife and I came up from Dorset to catch up with family whom we haven’t seen for some time, We were a party of eight last Friday for dinner and had a wonderful time at the windmill we found the service to be excellent and reasonably quick, we all enjoyed our meals and were of a really good size. The atmosphere in the pub was really nice and relaxed, and the there is a really good selection of real ales. Would highly recommend and thank you for the Hobgoblin Glass.

Absolutely delicious food. We had the beef Sunday roast, the duck roast and the bakewell and raspberry tart.Dog friendly, so we sat in the dog friendly area, which is this cosy small room which had a 6 seater, 4 seater and 2 seater table.Staff were friendly however minor tweaks could be made, such as; reading the specials to customers instead of directing them to the board; checking on how customers are enjoying their food; checking if customers want more drinks. We had a great time though and will definitely be back. It's right next to the canal as well so perfect for a walk afterwards.

We had a lovely meal here. The food was very high quality. Also the staff were super helpful when dealing with my wife’s dietary requirements. We will definitely be going back soon.

Opted to eat here on a Saturday night and booked a table in person when it was quiet. A villager advised us this was the slightly posher pub in the village. Arrived to find a very busy bar with a good local atmosphere and a restaurant area The meals we ordered were good although served very quickly, perhaps to avoid us being delayed by the very large party next to us.. For a Saturday evening we were in and out within 45 minutes and didn't feel the atmosphere inviting to stay for a second drink. We did return on Sunday evening when it was much quieter for a quiet pint.
