Specsavers Opticians and Audiologists - Southend

Staff were welcoming and efficient.My issue Is that they didnt do a vision field check as the machine wasnt working. Also told I couldnt get driving glasses that would enable to see distance and the dashboard.

I had the fortune of having Claire, the branch manager helping me to resolve a complicated issue with my eyes (PVD). She was so incredibly helpful and went the extra mile for me to help me resolve the issue - 1st class service and I also want to thank James, the Optician, who was very thorough and also provided me a great service with a smile. Great experience at Southend, Specsavers. All the staff are really helpful, and I was very happy to see my regular optician – Mr James Diss, Who is always helpful, and very professional in checking any problems concerning my eyesight

Thanks to Maisie at Specsavers in Southend. As i walked past the shop today,I remembered i had an appointment to pick up my new glasses,but couldn't remember when. I popped in and Maisie tactfully informed me it was two hours ago!! She very kindly squeezed me in to an already very busy shop full of customers and i received my new specs after a very short time. I left a negative review a few months back but it seems to have been removed!This opticians is without doubt the worst I have had the displeasure of visiting.The staff spoke to me as if I was an idiot and were only interested in extracting as much money out of me as possible.I shall never step foot not only in this Spec Savers but any of their other branches.In my experience Asda Opticians are a million times better than this lot.

Just wanted a routine eye test, but it was rotten experience here.I think I was booked in by, and had the scan with, the work experience kid. She didn't have a clue was what she was doing, couldn't work the systems, couldn't explain anything, didn't listen to a word I said. There's no space here for privacy, so I was quite jealous of the woman next to me - who I could hear being booked in by a competent person.The chap doing the actual eye test appeared to be ill (some kind of wet cold or flu) and he was inattentive, so I didn't feel confident to have the eye test here and left without having it.

Staff members were absolutely lovely, very attentive, clear and took an interest. Decent prices, no forced upsell and really good in store.

Excellent High Standards. I had a problem with my vision in right eye. After examination the Optometrist made an urgent phone call to Southend Hospital. I went there immediately and saw a Specialist eye doctor ...... on a Sunday afternoon. Outstanding service.

Staff managed people very well we were in very quickly and staff seemed like they cared for their patients
