Fabulous restaurant which although can be busy always feels relaxed and comfortable!!Food choice is excellent, also wines!!Extremely friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble; they have a marvellous place here too with a canal close by and grounds to walk off your lovely meal !!And let’s not forget the model railway…

Guys, thatched hamlet was so good we had to go back even just a week later. I can not put into words just how fantastic the quality of food is there in combination with friendly attentive staff. We have definitely found our new favourite Italian restaurant and will be coming back regularly. The main meals are mouth wateringly good and the desserts are equally as impressive.

Relaxed, friendly, great menu - excellent sized portions - meals - sandwiches - kids menu, food delicious, well priced, good range of drinks, great service, eat in or out, clean, plenty of parking, alongside a small canal, picturesque, other outlets all set in the style of olde village shops. Highly recommend a visit. We went back 3 times during a 9 day caravan holiday.

Had an amazing weekend at Guys Thatched Hamlet. It's like a little holiday village with lovely old world vibes. The location is brilliant right next to the canal, so it's perfect for walks.The room was spotless with a very comfortable bed. On site, you have Olld Nells, which is a great pub with a brilliant atmosphere and lovey food.There is also an Italian restaurant called Guys, which is absolutely beautiful and had the best tomato soup I've tasted. I will definitely be returning here.

This is certainly a place to visit, close to the canal with a superb outdoor area. A great range of cask ales along with just about every drink under the sun on offer. The pizzas are really nice and at a fair price. They also have regular events and even the occasional fair for kids, you really can have a full day out if you fancy it.

Took my visitors from Spain had the lamb chops lovely. We also visited the new gift shop what a little gem of a place with wonderful treasues inside and the lady was very warm and welcoming

Celebrated 40th birthday. Staff very helpful and professional even though we were a larger booking of 30 people. Good value set menu choices and delicious complimentary garlic bread served. We also booked 2 executive spa bedrooms plus a family room. Good cooked breakfast served following morning in Guy's restaurant. One of our favourite places to stay.

A lot of people eat here and visit. It is by a canal and in an enviable setting. It is a go to place for many. However the service is not always great and this evening was no exception. The bar staff were more interested in talking and chatting rather than service. The manager endorsed this and was content to deliver individual drinks to tables aware that there were people waiting to be served at the bar. We were only served when we asked the woman behind the bar if anyone was serving. She had previously ignored us and begrudgingly stopped talking to serve us. One glass was dirty and the measures of wine not accurate or the same. If you are a decerning wine drinker, give the offered merlot which has that slight vinegar after taste found in the kind of cheap wine you would be hard pushed to find these days a miss. This is a popular place but the reality is that popular does not always mean you have a good experience. A very big thumbs down this evening for poor bar staff, management and service.

Great menu, fantastic food, sourced locally. Friendly welcoming staff, loads of choice with food and a great choice of ales too. An absolutely fabulous atmosphere. Always a real treat to visit. Brilliant.

This place is just lovely. It is so deceiving. Its beautiful enough from the front and we went on a bought a drink, lovely friendly staff and quick at the bar. Also they watch who is coming to the bar to ensure they serve people in order. I love this as I hate it when rude people try to be served knowing you were there first.We went outside to go by the canal and to our surprise there was a lovely little village as part of the estate for people to visit. It was a lovely little place. Drinks were nice and we went to the Italian that is on site.The Italian was lovely. Fresh cooled food. Generous portion sizes too.I got a chilli chicken starter which was lovely and risotto for mains. The garlic bread was lovely too.Prices where steep but the food was nice. Lovely decor and atmosphere.
