We have had 15months of problems with our hot water cylinder. Steve at Gas Smart was the sixth plumber I contacted. His perseverance and meticulous attention to detail was amazing. He solved the problem where all others had failed. We were on the verge of fitting a new(4K) system. We are so grateful and can’t thank him enough.Recommended 100% with no reservation.

It was my lucky day to have met Steve who came to do a gas/boiler inspection. Not only did he do that he managed to fix the boiler first which was sprung upon him and even got the part needed! He also had a look at the pressure of my shower and managed to locate a spare shower head to help. He went above and beyond to what he came for initially and all with a smile. He was patient, friendly and very helpful and would request him again for any future jobs. Will be recommending!

Steven was really efficient and responsive to phone calls and emails. Came out on a Sunday with an hour's notice and knew his way around a very complicated heating and hot water set up and fixed it.

Steve (the company owner) quoted us for a replacement under-sink water heater after the original one had broken down.We were told the job would take 3 to 4 hours.Mike (the trainee) was sent to carry out the job, who assured us it would be very straightforward.He spent most of the day trying to complete the works, but to no avail.We were left without any hot water as he had decided to go home, leaving the job incomplete.He promised us he would return to rectify the job as soon as possible.After speaking to the company owner, it later transpired we would have to pay an extra cost for the job to be completed, as Steve felt, “He shouldn’t be left out of pocket”.Obviously, we weren’t willing to pay any extra, just because his trainee was incapable of finishing a simple job.We were then threatened with court action if we didn’t pay for the incomplete works.As we were unwilling to use Gas Smart Heating again, we obtained a couple of quotes from other tradespeople, who couldn’t believe we had been left in that situation.They were shocked not only by the poor workmanship, (dirty handprints, mismatched pipe elbows and scuffed tiles) but the way the water heater had been installed, calling it potentially dangerous.Eventually we used one of the other companies, who fitted the unit in the correct position and at a more competitive price also.Please avoid using Gas Smart Heating at all costs and shop around for a professional company to complete any works.

Brilliant service! They were able to come the next day, provided an estimate over the phone arrived at the agreed time, discussed the job and what was needed, completed the job, cleaned up and charged the price discussed. What more could you ask for? Couldn’t recommend higher

When presented with a problem with the RF Unit not connecting with the boiler, Steve managed to sort it out, even though he had never encountered this problem before, he then went on to complete the annual service and was out of the house within an hour or so of arriving. Very efficient, friendly and trustworthy.
