Camping Tollymore Forest Park
A pleasantly laid out campsite that is open and sunny. The facilities look dated but are functional and the showers are good and hot. There is no reception just the car park staff but security visit in the evenings. The site is handy for Newcastle and forest walks and for walking in the Mourne Mountains.

Really love visiting Tollymore. This time I was in the Girl Guide Camp site but ventured up towards the park and coffee area. Rangers are friendly and helpful, the park is brilliant for kids and we really enjoyed our time there!

I enjoy my time here because I know what to expect. You have to pre-book, but you aren't assigned a particular site - first come first served, which can be a problem if you use your camper for daily travel, eg, to the shops. The toilet/shower blocks are okay but have not been upgraded in YEARS; not all the cubicles have functional locks...but, they are clean (at least, as can be expected, with a changing clientele). There are no shops on site, but the town is only a couple of miles away, and the forest IS worth the visit! And, the staff (rangers, cleaners) are very pleasant.

Picturesque camp site in the wonderful Tollymore forest park. Improved by some recent work on the washing, and showering ant toilet areas. Reasonable space for caravans and motorhomes, but only 10 camping tents allowed, apart from youth sites. Ridiculous, bearing in mind the size of the place.

Camping Tollymore Forest Park
Relaxed and spacious site with perfect views of the Mournes. Loads of local cycling and walking, plus some more adventurous routes for the active types (we managed a walk up to Slieve Donard and back from the site). Washroom facilities are plentiful and spotlessly clean with loads of hot water (but perhaps a bit dated). Loved it.

This was our first outing in a campervan, and Tolleymore was an excellent site to learn the ropes. Booking the site was really easy online, and the forest service people (shout out to Mary who was really, really helpful!) explained what to do if we arrived after the ranger had left. Navigating the campsite was great; everything was clearly signposted, and setting up and getting connected was really straightforward. The facilities were clean and conveniently located and there was a general atmosphere of goodwill amongst the many campers. While you have to be off the site by noon, it was lovely to just relocate to the car park before beginning a beautiful walk around the forest with no pressure on times. The site was very reasonably priced and we will certainly venture down there again!

The Camp Site at Tollymore is a lovely facility. Very clean and tidy, showers and bathrooms are heated. Fresh water points around the site. And the views must be some of the best in the world at any camp site.

This is an excellent campsite,It does not have electric but that shouldn't put anyone off choosing this as an option for camping hereThe toilets and shower block is slightly dated, (the toilets could so with being replaced as the flush action is quite difficult to use) however they are cleaned regularly. And the kitchen area is nearby and very clean. The quiet hours are 11pm-8am and seems to be inforced as once that time came it was silent.Loads of fabulous walks and the stepping stones are our children's favourite. The views speak for themselves, prices are extremely reasonable and pitches aren't restrictive in size.I will be booking again for next year

Tollymore Forest is beautiful. Different walks beside the Shimna River with the chance to see red squirrels and other wildlife. Equally beautiful in summer and winter.

Have been using the campsite for over 45 years now and always love going back. Toilets although dated are warm and plenty of hot water. No washing machines..
