Telephone House Surgery

Very nice surgery, all doctors, nurses and staff are very helpful. Just a shame they've not been open throughout the pandemic and the few times I've had to visit the doctor I've had to go to st Mary's which isn't far but if you have mobility problems then it is. Can't wait for Telephone house to open again

The nicest experience I’ve had at a doctors in Southampton! Staff were friendly, it was clean and I didn’t mind waiting a little longer for my appointment as it was very calm in the waiting area. My doctor was so helpful made me feel super understood and even rang up after to check id got the correct prescription- going the extra mile for her patients. A MUCH nicer experience than I have had at other surgeries previously!

A poor excuse of a doctors surgery.The receptionists were very helpful.Drs not helpful & couldn't care less attitude. Urgent medication still waiting for after contacting them Monday to say I would run out Wednesday.Dr assuring me it would be ready to pick up from my chosen pharmacist Wednesday. Still no medication or a call from the doctor that was promise & more to the point still no medication that I need.NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR LACK OF SERVICE

Impossible to contact over the phone, have been left on hold for 45 minutes before, whenever I try to book an appointment here they always move it to St Mary's Surgery, which is even further away from where I live.Receptionists are very helpful if you pop in, but are abrupt and unwilling to help or accept complaints over the phone.Every time I need to renew my prescription I end up having to wait days, and subsequently miss doses of my medication, one that can be life threatening if the dose is interrupted. Will be changing surgery now, shocking example of an NHS department.

I appreciate that funding is short and doctors are short but I have had to wait weeks now to get an appointment, only to be told today that my appointment is cancelled and they can’t book any more until next Tuesday - and in a different surgery which is is not my local surgery and is much more difficult for me to get to.Bearing in mind that the appointment is for extreme tinnitus which has had a strong adverse effect on my quality of life for going on three weeks now, I don’t think that this is acceptable.I do not understand why I have been refused medical treatment for this long now. It is not plausible that a single doctor here could not spare ten minutes of their time over the past few weeks.

I'm so glad I moved to this practice. The receptionist are lovely and since I have been here I have nothing bad to say. They have been great with my ongoing conditions and this most recent appointment with Dr Rachel Owners was amazing, I didn't feel rushed and she answered all my questions and made me feel very at ease which as I have anxiety is a mission on its own. She was very informative and the most helpful doctor I've seen in a long time.

I had a cervical screening appointment with Emma and was so nervous. She was absolutely brilliant, so lovely and really put me at ease. Thank you so much Emma for making what isn’t generally something to look forward to a much more pleasant experience.

Having recently moved to Southampton, and unfortunately required the services of the medical profession rather frequently, I have to write in praise of this surgery. Receptionists, nurses and doctors have all been friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. It is a daunting experience to start afresh with so many new organisations but my visits to Telephone House have been made so much easier by the welcoming attitude of everybody I have encountered, even extending to the pharmacy next door.Thank you all.

Although I have never had any complaints with this surgery I have become very frustrated that every medical appointment I have tried to make I am only offered appointments at St. Marys Surgery. The only way I can get an appointment at this surgery is to actually go there in person and book it! (This was before covid) Now I have to do a urine test but I have received a text to yet again go to St Marys Surgery to collect it! As I work full time I have great difficulty getting there during opening hours. Why oh why can I not collect it from the surgery that I am registered with?I don't know when I will be able to get to St Marys Surgery so I guess the test will have to wait. The reason I registered at Telephone House is that it is close to home. My advice if you live close to the Telephone House surgery don't register there in the expectation that you will be able to attend this surgery.
