Optical Express Laser Eye Surgery, Cataract Surgery, & Opticians: Brighton

Whilst very happy with my initial surgery , I developed a slight problem with my right eye as it wasn`t as focused as the left. After 10 months I decided to return to Optical Express to see what they could do to rectify the problem. I was in the process of receiving additional treatment and was told if necessary I would receive a further surgery.The problem was that my 12 month period of cover ran out before the problem was solved even though my treatment hadn`t concluded. On the anniversary of my 12 months I was immediately dropped as a customer and haven`t had any communication since. I am therefore left with one eye which is not 100%. If any problems arise within the first 12 months I would have thought Optical Express have a duty to correct this even if the treatment has to be carried out after the 12 month period.

Visited optical express today and the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I went to for a consultation for either laser or replacement lenses. After spending a decent amount of time with me they did not try and sell their service, but in fact in my situation they said they would not recommend a corrective procedure as my eyes would not benefit fully at this point in my life. I left appreciating the honesty and integrity the staff and eye specialist showed. I am certain I will go back in the future when my eyesight starts to struggle. Thank you again

Following my recent need for reading glasses on top of my already high prescription and my Mum's diagnosis of cataracts and Glaucoma I decided to take the plunge and go for a consultation for corrective surgery. The staff at the Brighton branch were fantastic. I never once got the hard sell, the exam and consultation was calm, respectful and professional and the information clear. I left feeling really reassured that my eyes are healthy and the choice about surgery was entirely mine. I have decided not to go ahead at present and instead have a new appreciation for my eyes, just as they are. If, or when, I am ready I would not hesitate to come back here. Compliments to everyone for making an experience I was quite anxious about into something so positive.

Really lovely people, from receptionist right through to the manager/patient advisor. I saw four people in all. Everything was made very clear to me throughout the consultation and I was pleased that there was no hard sell and I felt very comfortable with everything. Very excited now to get my new eyes" in a few weeks time."

When I arrived for my assessment, Debbie made me very welcome.She was very friendly & explained the procedures very clearly. When I went in for my eye tests, Chandri was also very friendly & welcoming. She explained everything clearly & answered all my questions. I decided to proceed with the surgery. This decision was helped by the fact that these 2 ladies were very professional, and obviously knew their jobs well. I felt in very good ( & safe ) hands !! Thank you to you both.

I was apprehensive about my consultation appointment but there was no need! Chan was lovely, explaining everything and answering my questions. I didn’t feel rushed to get through the appointment. Nor did I feel I was being pushed to get any surgery. I was given truthful advice and told I had 3 months to think it through. I will definitely be going back to Optical Express in Brighton in the future. Thank you Chan for being so lovely xxx

Good face to face quotation service but I wish companies would stop advertising prices that are so far off the average quote. Optical Express’ advertised laser eye price: £595/eye (from). My quote: over £5000 total with a modest -2/-4 prescription.

All the staff are lovely with really friendly support and advice. So helpful in everyway. My son and I had so many questions, yet nothing was a problem and all the staff made us feel so calm and comfortable.Thank you Optical Express at Brighton you were all amazing!

Fantastic experience from 1st consultation, to having LASEK at Harley St & my follow ups with the Brighton clinic. Brighton staff were great during the follow ups, answering all my questions (which i had a lot of following surgery). 10/10 its a cliché but wish i had laser eye surgery years ago.
