If you are up to 24 years old, this place is very good. But be careful if you are near 25 years old, you may not get as much support. They were both compassionate, however the housing advice I was given was not the most appropriate for my situation, I needed a bit more support

Good place but very bad staff most of the people working there are racist and unhelpful people in danger.

It’s a great place to make friends and get help but they don’t bother to do background checks. Had they asked me certain questions when I first approached them they would have known I was entitled to social housing (which I now have) and I never would have had to have gone into the LHA which is like a prison. There’s an Indian woman with tattoos who shouldn’t be working there, she’s extremely condescending and rude. Seems to be jealous of people who get social housing.

This is not a good charity! I was homeless and they housed me temporarily in practically a prison with crazy rules that included the governance of when and what we could eat (only at set times) and I wasnt informed of any of this prior. I didnt get any help or much guidance in how I would move on from that place which made it worst, plus I witness a young person get kicked out of this place at least once a month not to add, one girl new horizon completely refused to help and didnt care if she slept on the streets again. Then when my contract was up and I tried to get my life together found a new job and somewhere to stay very shortly after I became homless again and this time they reduced the services they wanted to offer me including housing because apparently I made myself homeless what a horrid thing to say to a vunerable young person. When I went to the centre (only once), I wasnt welcomed and was made to feel so alienated and the lady from their work department kept emailing me to not return to the centre unprovocated. I hope you have a better experience than I did and arent so desperate you need new horizon because they keep you down and dont want to see you progress so if possible find somewhere else. Appart from steve from independant living he was lovely

I am writing this review as i feel this youth club deserves a lot more recognition and publicity for the amazing work they offer to us young people. The staff here go out of their way to help you as much as they can, they really are an amazing team. It has been such a rewarding experience for me to meet people who genuinely care and want to help you succeed and achieve your highest potential.*A special thank you to Claire and Chantell!

I Used to love this place but its changed, they do not want to answer their phone. they even picked up said hello then proceeded to hang up on me, I called them back 3 times and it rang straight to voicemail and they did not even attempt to call me back, I wanted help but this is how I get treated? Staff do not even wanna do the of the things they get paid to do. I'm not the kind that wants to make someone look bad but I'm really offended thats how they treated someone who needed help it could have been anyone on that phone im not happy at all

I have been visiting the centre for many years and have a close relationship with people who attend the centre and the staff who work there. This centre has some of the best help available for young people who are homeless/vulnerable. It is a blessing in disguise, they have: therapy, education and employment, housing support, food, nurse, internet and most importantly staff who care !! A lot of places only offer short time support and it can be hard to trust and build relationships and can deter young people from wanting to attend, however new Horizon will continue to support you. Thank you for all your support new Horizon especially to Emma and all staff who are really dedicated to supporting young people and giving them more opportunities to become the people they deserve to be !

Absolutely amazing life savers. Even made some friends there who I have kept for years. New horizons was more like a hipster cook homeless help centre rather then somewhere that made you feel like a tramp. All my love xxxxxxx
