Smiles and Miles Tutoring

My daughter has fortnightly sessions and the tutor is great, really patient with her. I chose smiles and miles as they look at the need not the ££ when I was enquiring with a couple of companies, this wasn't always the case.

Georgia has hugely benefited from having private tutoring with Smiles and Miles. Sarah, from smiles and miles tutoring, has been privately tutoring my 7 year old son online since schools closed at the beginning of lockdown. I was worried about him getting behind as he had previously become disengaged at school and was already falling behind. Sarah has focused mainly on building up my sons confidence in his abilities and always finds different ways to make the sessions fun and bases the sessions around things she knows he is interested in. Sometimes he doesn’t even realise he is doing work. He has made great progress in both English and Maths but mainly he has found an interest in learning again. Often, Sarah’s sessions will inspire him to complete further work on his own initiative. We have continued his sessions since my son has returned to school and I have been really impressed that his school teacher has noticed a huge difference in his confidence, his willingness to learn and his academic ability. I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough.

We have been using Smiles and Miles for several months now for English. My daughter is studying GCSE's and is dyslexic. The relationship she has with her tutor Karen is very good and she looks forward to the weekly lesson. It is clear her English is improving, with the help of Smiles and Miles.I very much recommend.

We were very fortunate to know Sarah in her previous role as a primary school teacher. Sarah was my son's favourite teacher from his time at primary so it was a very easy decision for us to make when it came to choosing a private tutor.We started using Smiles and Miles Tutoring to help support our daughter through year 5 and 6 of Primary school. Little did we know that the world would change and most of her learning would be done at home.Sarah has been the most fantastic support at such a challenging time for education. My son asked if I could find someone to help him with his GCSE English and we were fortunate to find Smiles and Miles. Sarah found him a tutor who is perfectly suited to his particular needs. His tutor understands not only how to help him learn but how to build the confidence he was lacking. We can see his confidence growing alongside his academic ability. Although he's not the most enthusiastic learner he has been motivated to do the work and the positive feedback from his subject teacher at school, about his improved performance, has been his reward. I have been particularly impressed by the quality of the teaching materials provided by his tutor. These will form a really useful GCSE revision tool. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Smiles and Miles.

Emma is a fantastic tutor who brings so much energy to her sessions. My son loves his time with Emma and always looks forward to her coming.
