Thanks to Peter for his outstanding service sourcing an air conditioning radiator (next day) for our motor-home. Our mechanic had tried with no success to locate one that fitted. Peter was so knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks Again

I purchased a Bluebird radiator matrix from here which at first was brilliant as they are incredibly rare. However the one I had initially sent them off the car was disposed of along with the connecting spring and rod. When I rang them back, they stated it had been mistakenly thrown away. They offered no compensation or anything, just an attitude of it’s happened, and tried to insist my garage could sort it. Furthermore this must have been a slightly different one as my trusted garage informed me the actuating rod was the other way around so perhaps they had matched it up due to size. Again, they weren’t helpful and rather belligerent that they had the right one even when my garage spoke to them directly. In the end my garage sorted a work around. This company would have got 5 stars however once the money is with them, the aftercare especially when they’re in the wrong is non existent. I have my receipt/invoice to hand should the company pretend that this is some sort of “malicious” review. It isn’t, it’s an entirely honest one.

The short review is this was the most expensive blob of silver solder that I have ever unwittingly ended up paying for in my life, and the billing was arbitrary lacking any justification for the cost. The long review isI spoke to J on the phone and was very impressed at his replies to my questions and felt confident that my repair would be done efficiently with minimum fuss or expense.I took the radiator in and was greeted by P who took one look at the pinhole which I had marked and said yes it should be repaired within £100 which is worst case as there maybe other issues.I asked if he could quote before continuing with the work. His response was, it takes what it takes and he will charge accordingly. I realised that it was only a little pinhole after testing it myself, how expensive could it be? £20-£50 tops I thought. When P phoned to say it was ready (very quick I have to say) I asked what the cost was. He said he could not give me the cost as he had not prepared the invoice yet. Because it was so detailed? When I went in and saw the repair I said that it clearly only needed a small blob of silver solder. P let out the kind of mocking laugh which I believe was meant to convey “if only you mortals knew the amount of powdered unicorn horn and wizardry it took to facilitate such a repair ” which is a real skill in itself and he repeated it for effect. I asked if I was missing something as it was just a blob of silver solder. He replied that the bill was £104.I was handed a bill that said “heater battery repaired with silver solder”.I then asked how much labour was involved he said he did not know I asked what pressure was it tested to, he said he did not know, 30 psi maybe?By this time P was getting quite irked at my impetuous need for justification for what I considered arbitrary billing, and by now it was clear to me this price was set at the first glance, I’m a slow learner I know but why was he so evasive?I was then informed that his company was the only one in Cornwall and they have to carry allot of complicated equipment which needed paying for and therefore the billing did not necessarily reflect the actual work. And presumably stabling and feeding a unicorn is no small undertaking either. Also they have excellent reviews. Err what can I say?Well I shall not be using their services again even if they are the last radiator repair shop on the face of the planet let alone Cornwall.Don’t get me wrong not all repairs are this simple and real skill can be required on more complicated radiators which this company must be capable of, but I was very disappointed at the lack of professionalism afforded to me at a very premium price for a 20 minuet job.

Left the radiator for my old Nissan Patrol with newquay radiators for a full refurbishment and they've done a fantastic job. Got it fitted in today and started for the first time in years. Good solid job.

The car was going to be scrapped unless we could locate a radiator for it. Needless to say Newquay Radiators came to our aid and rebuilt our old unit. This was after our local radiator 'specialist' said this could not be done! The whole job was posted out, rebuilt and sent back in 5 working days-fantastic service!

very helpful at the start but my radiator turned up damaged from their courier service & the item wasn't sent insured from them!upon reporting the damage they would only offer me a refund & my old radiator back in bits?they did not offer to repair or assist in the damage repair & I couldn't claim any compensation for the damageso basically my options were no rad at all or pay full money for a damaged radiatori will not be using this service again & warn others to ensure their items are sent insured to prevent them being in my situation

I have used Newquay Radiators for many years and they have always been a great company to deal with. From supplying number plates, rebuilding radiators and repairing fuel tanks, excellent service time and time again. Well done to all the team especially Peter

Quick turn-around and (after getting other quotes) a very competitive price at £240 (bespoke work like this is never cheap). A very good job done repairing my 1983 Austin Ambassador fuel tank which was corroded and needed unobtainable parts. the tank was de-fumed, repairs made and the tank painted. The repair is 'as per original' which is something a lot of classic car owners like. I recommend this company and won't hesitate to use them again.
