We had a great time at Grizedale. There are a number of walks so depending on how much time you have, or how strenuous you want the walk to be, there is something for everyone. We opted for the Grizedale Tarn Trail which was about 4 miles and a moderately gentle walk for the most part. There were some interesting sculptures and art installations along the way as well!

Beautiful place for a family day out. The lumber Jill's exhibition was interesting about women in Forestry, which was a great bonus. The cafe served nice food and coffee. Slightly on the expensive side though.

Lovely venue. The waymarkers on the Lilac Trail from Bogle Crag are a bit confusing and don't seem to match the maps properly. It was easy to lose track of the route. The Ridding Wood and Millwood Trails are great - accessible and family friendly. Cafe is overpriced, just like much of the Lake District. Parking is not cheap and the payment machines often have faults or don't give a receipt. No concessions for blue badge holders either. Friendly helpful staff in the Visitors Centre. Worth a visit.

We went to this place as we have a young grandson so plenty to do. The place is in a beautiful setting with excellent facilities. Our grandson who is three and a half went on the go ape with his mum and dad. Reasonably priced they had a fantastic time and the staff were amazing with our grandson. Lovely day would highly recommend.

Lovely cafe and shop. Some local artisans are on site at times. Great and varied walks from the centre. The one thing to keep in mind is parking is not cheap but it all goes back to the organisation

A lovely friendly little campsite, family friendly, in a valley between Coniston and Windermere.Plenty of choice - fields for camping, basic pods, and fully equipped options scattered in the woodlands. Small tents can even camp in the woods.A short drive to nearest shop, but if you're looking for more stripped back camping trip or a base to explore the area its ideal.Very reasonably priced, free showers, logs available and plenty of natural fire pits
