Lovely hotel in a lovely village, beautiful location service great, food great.The only downer was mattress on bed too soft didn't sleep very well.

Charming, friendly pub in a lovely village. Delicious food (the house-made sausages were particularly excellent). Very comfortable rooms. Just a 40 pound Uber ride from Reading.

This is a fantastic location. Loved the cottage I stayed in and after a long commute from London Heathrow the staff were fabulous. Theresa met me for breakfast and hospitality was above and beyond and had a great breakfast looking to stay again.

We had a Saturday night table reservation at 8pm, table for four. At 9.30 they came and asked if we wanted coffee because they were closing the machine down. We were still on our main courses. At the same time a large group entered the dining room. They were residents apparently. At 10pm while we were still eating our dessert the bill was placed on the table. We hadn’t requested it.At no point were we told before when we made our reservation or during the meal that they wanted to close up early.We expressed our disappointment at being ushered out before even being asked if we wanted some after dinner drinks. In fairness we received a discount on the bill and service was removed.It was a real shame as the food was good but restaurant is not worth making the journey. It’s clearly a ‘local pub for local people’ and a boutique hotel first and foremost. We got a taxi back to Henley and enjoyed a couple more rounds of after dinner drinks in a nice pub in town.

I recomend this pub to sleep and to eat, they are really kind and nice. The bedroom so clean and Lovely english. Brilliant !!

Country pub in a beautiful village. Staff are friendly and the food is excellent. Ideal for a country walk and a pleasant lunch.

Very friendly staff an nice rooms in a very old building. Breakfast was very good with generous portions. Evening meal choices covered a range of options and food was good. Wider choice than average of wine on offer for a pub, some good options available.

Had the steak and disappointed. Served with rocket and chips (in a mug) and cost £45 - don't understand why people won't serve vegetables as a standard. Others we were with enjoyed their meals so may have just been a bad choice on our behalf.

Turned up here with a guest this afternoon for Sunday roast. Was served up undercooked meat, cold potatoes and everything was cold and horrible. It was so vile I asked them not to return mine again my guest asked for a replacement meal. He got the same meal microwaved, it was horrible & runined the whole day. Thanks for nothing.
