3500£ is too much for a 1-year PGCE online course that doesn't give you any guarantee to find a proper teaching job... lower your fees, please.Furthermore: they totally ignore emails containing suggestions and/or complains from potential students

The university is very good, very supportive and the course is well structured. Carlisle is a nice town where nothing is too far away, it's easy to feel at home when you're so close to the outdoors. The university is welcoming and lecturers are friendly and encourage you to settle in.

Went for an open afternoon. Seems alright. Smaller than other unis. Have loads of state of the art equipment for health students. Library seems good. Students seem fairly happy.

I applied for a course and been accepted and so far the staff have been amazing! They dedicate everything to their students and take the time to listen and help you above and beyond my expectations.I'm looking forward to starting my course at this university as I already feel valued and cared for. All staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the courses and they are easy to talk to and understanding.

Okay, let me just be honest. This is an ok university. The tutors/lectures were friendly. But I found the course sizes small. Really small. There was only one person on my course and we were all bunched in with all the other science courses (which is fine, my current Uni bunches forensic and biological foundation together) but these were multiple different courses with all that related them being science. If you like really small classes then that is fine. The timetable was unpredictable. I don't know whether that is a norm. But where I am now the timetable's stable. One thing that really gets me is the lack of respect for people's birth certificates. It came back folded. The university was also really unhelpful when I was trying to change universities. I didn't know what I was doing or how things worked. I got no help. I was very lucky I managed at all. My tutor set the date where we'd talk about transferring to be after the UCAS deadline. However I think about it it feels like he was trying to rig it so I stayed at Cumbria University and didn't transfer. The emails I got from my tutor made it seem like I was unsure when the opposite was the case. It was a complete nightmare. I only chose Cumbria University because it was close to home, now I know my mistake. I am so glad I got out of that car-crash of a university.

Excellent BPS accredited applied psych course, absolutely first class lecturers - all active researchers. Great employment prospects, high standard of teaching, amazing support and pastoral care.

I studied at the UOC from 2012-2015 on the Performing arts course. Fantastic campus and the course was extremely varied and great to have many different professional directors directing us. :) Highly recommended.

Very disappointed with the lack of communication. Multiple calls and emails and no reply. If you no longer offer a course then just let people know who signed up for it! I attended a great webinar in the Middle East and was led to believe I was on a pathway to a top up degree with Cumbria. This clearly wasn’t the case.

I studied psychology and know of a few students who halted their studies/became extremely discouraged due to a certain rather discompassionate module leader in that department. I feel that this person did not have the students' best interests at heart and was not good at supporting their students mentally or providing motivation. This module leader has taken student's personal ongoings, that are able to affect uni work, personally, reacted egotistically to it, and failed to display kidness or respect in many instances. This lecturer seemed fairly new and possibly immature. As a member of the psychology cohort, their behaviour toward students was often quite ironic.I have otherwise really enjoyed my experience here, and the rest of the psych team was fab, which is why I've done 2 stars.

Go on holiday do anything else you want with your money but don't waste it on higher education especially in the uk. You can gain skills you want to get employed while University does not give a better to get employed.
