It was a beautiful view - the lake had some very lovely-looking swans and other bird wildlife (though they were a little snappy when we got too close) and some gorgeous greenery. We took some photos when we stopped there. If you go up the hill, you can see more of the really pretty landscape. I wish we could've enjoyed it more, but we had just finished going through 50 locks!

A quiet and peaceful place next to the canal. Wen there in April with signs of Spring everywhere. Birds singing leaves appearing on trees etc. We walked up from the Queens Head past ever locks on the canal. A nice gentle walk

This used to be named Bourneville Lake, well that's what we called it back in my childhood, the name derived from the Bournville fishing club that owned the rights to fish on this Reservoir. Back in the day if you waited till early evening massive shoals of Perch most of them young but some much bigger would swim around the edges and it was easy to catch them on rod and line, the action would only last around 30 miniutes but it was crazy, if you could unhook them fast enough you could get yourself a decent supper in no time. I love this place and being quite hard to get to, and find its very peaceful to this day.

Nice walk next to canals and this lake. Good walk with nice view with kids and dog watching boats passing through the locks. Few people fishing at the lake and some runners along the way.Parking at the church parking and walk down through cemetery and field to get to canals.
