A quick but lovely visit to the reservoirs up the narrow lanes towards Felindre. Theere are ample opportunites to walk around the area and the cafe is also present with toilets too. There is also ample parking by the cafe

Beautiful to place to visit all year round. I like to go back again and again to appreciate the seasons changes.The circuit of the reservoir is approx 2 miles and has been recently surfaced with gravel.A sculpture trail has been added along one side of the reservoir.There is a cafe serving hot food, cake or ice-cream along with a play area. Free activity sheets can be collected from the cafe.£2.50 parking fee which contributes to upkeep. Should you be there after closing don't worry the vehicle barrier is on a one-way censor so you can escape.

Lovely rural paths and some amazing views. Worth to visit even if it's hard to get to it (public transport almost do not exist)

Lower Lliw Reservoir
I love these reservoirs for the remoteness and rugged beauty. Call during the day (be careful of barrier down time) and you will usually find the cafe and toilets open. The parking is paid. There is a pushchair / wheelchair friendly path Ali the way to the top reservoir. The bottom reservoir circular walk is not accessible. You can walk out of the valley up onto the Betws mountain wind farm if you want a longer walk.

Great relaxing walk after the stressful parking app. Highly recommended for an easy walk along the flat, possibly not suitable for wheelchair users due to steps and woodland footpaths.

Please be aware that the pushchair/wheelchair friendly path that is mentioned on some reviews is actually a road which is accessed by Welsh Water employees, residents and delivery lorries on a daily basis. Dogs need to be kept on leads as there are grazing livestock.

Lower Lliw Reservoir
A great, tree ringed stretch of water - with sail boarding etc., also with abundant bird and other wild life populations.Started at the cafe and did the circular walk with Zoe the dog. Plenty of shade from the trees and useful information boards about the history of the reservoir, and it's place in the development of Welsh water.It's off the beaten track, but a delight when you get there...we shall return!
