I used to work for this company. They break most of the trading standards rules on a regular basis, and we as the workers are encouraged and strong armed (with the threat of losing our job) into breaking the rules as well. We cold call people regularly. We are told to try and continue a call with someone who has told us 3 times they don't want to speak to us. When we don't do this we are chastised and made to feel like we could get fired for not doing it. It's all a money making scheme. They speak to vulnerable people all of the time and love speaking to older people as they are easier to manipulate". I literally had to ask to be taken off a specific campaign because I didn't feel comfortable asking so many old women for money. The charities who hire NTT clearly don't care or are not aware of the malpractice that goes on at NTT on these charities behalfs. They don't follow the legal guidelines for break hours for workers and we are completely overworked for tiny amounts of money. They have overtime schemes but they try and make sure they give u just enough work so that you don't hit overtime and then deny any requests for overtime"

I spoke with Becky who was promoting Dog's Trust, and while I'm usually about as interested as anybody else when it comes to cold calls, a bit of charisma can make all the difference! She was an absolute delight to speak to, and kept my attention for the duration of the call. Might have actually earned Dog's Trust a sponsor :-)

I worked there for around 6 months. The team are generally plesent, however I quickly realised that a majority of the social engagements I had made were a facade to keep me working more efficiently. The business model is poor and customers often get callbacks tens of times after requesting to be removed from the call list. The office is shabby and arguably unsafe since headsets are shared, as is the bacteria and dirt that accumulates on them.

I have worked here for little over 2 years and I love it. The people are great the company is great. On reading some of the reviews I am a little confused hence why I am speaking up. You get out of this job what you put in. I work hard and took on board all of the training I was given, if I needed help I asked and got. The management were always willing to guide me. Some of the people I see who have done reviews I worked with and know for a fact they just didn’t try or listen to the advice given to them. I highly recommend working for them.

The management have a genuine belief in their employees. I worked here a year & although my probationary period was particularly difficult and stressful, they believed in my progress enough to keep me on. They regularly have floor wide pre-shifts celebrating the achievements of the staff representing these charities. There's a clear passion for what they do there, the coaches are genuinely fantastic people that I personally felt supported my growth and confidence in the job. The people are easily approachable and friendly & they do make a conscious effort to listen to people's concerns and help however possible. At the heart of it all, working here is about helping amazing charities grow and reach more people and make more of a difference. The only thing I'd notably complain about is the workstations. I think they have a long way to go till they are meeting standard regulations considering it's a desk orientated job. For example, offering help with eye tests is actually a part of health and safety regulations for display screen equipment in the UK. From working here, I was not made aware of this & after finding that out I know it could help so many people that are employed there.Another issue being the chairs aren't all up to a healthy standard which if you work in this job for long periods of time can seriously affect your posture although they do encourage taking breaks from sitting down to improve posture. Something I did a lot but not everyone is able to do.Finally, just simple measures to help with cleaner more hygienic workstations like supplying people with their own headsets & regularly encouraging people to clean their workstations can stop the spread of bacteria and cause less sickness related absences. It should be noted I'm aware it takes a lot of money to make these changes which NTT (given the charity nature of the business) may not have. I'm simply saying that regardless of the fact it is a charity fundraiser job, the health of the staff that work there is worth investing in, regardless of whether the company personally invests that money or the charities that invest in these people do.

They have unrealistic expectations that you can never meet. Then they make up excuses just to get rid of you.

Terrible organisation. Even when you review it based on your experience, there will be attempts from 'psid staff' to undermine your experience. Tells you everything you need to know. Check the review below mine.

I would highly recommend NO-ONE to work here. They do not pay for training periods. You are given 2 days of lacklustre training and then expected to take calls. Then you are not paid for the time that you start your shift but only for time on a call which is against the law. They do not pay training hours unless you work an extra 120 hours! A SCAM COMPANY

They fired me for the same reason they were going to move me on to a new campaign. I was told that I wasn't improving as fast as they wanted. For context, when I did things my way, people signed up and when I did things their way, I sounded like a robot and it affected my call quality. This was my dilemma that caused them to want to move me to a different campaign. I ordered a new laptop due to a problem with my old one and spoke to them. I was told that the apps would be downloaded but it was very suspicious because I had to ask repeatedly just for them tk say there was a problem on their end. So I try contacting them again the next day, lovked and ready for work and it turns out my account had been deactivated. I called them and I was told that the reason that I was being moved to a different campaign is the same reason I got fired. Not in those exact words but it sounded the sane to me. Evil people.
