Worth a visit to see the amazing views of Edinburgh castle. The gardens are beautiful, peaceful and restful place, just yards away from the hustle bustle of the city. They are kept so clean with stunning views, highly recommend

I started a recent trip to Edinburgh with a visit to the Princes Street Gardens. It's nice to find green spaces in the middle of the city, and I enjoyed taking a short walk around and looking at the various memorials that can be found here. The place isn't huge and I didn't spend all that much time wandering, but it was a nice little break from the city. It is right in the middle of everything though, to the point where you can very much hear the traffic outside, so it's maybe not what you're looking for if you're seeking quiet. There's lots of history though and it's definitely worth taking a look for that.

Scotland sure does known how to do glorious parks. This is such a great green space, the middle of the city. With fantastic views of Edinburgh Castle. A statue of Sue Walter Scott on the east end. A floral clock and the Ross fountain.

Beautiful gardens and we had so much fun in the xmas market. Great place to be at this time of the year. A bit cold but not even that much in November. Super recommended for anyone.

Formerly flooded moat protecting the Castle of Edinburgh, this park was dredged and created in order for Edinburgh to be a more welcoming city. Gorgeous. Skip the Royal Mile and walk its length from the National Gallery/Edinburgh Waverly to St John’s Cathedral
