Camplehaye Residential Home

A lovely care home

I have worked in a few care homes but this one stands out for me. The staff are amongst the friendliest most caring staff I have ever met. They are like family. They look after the residents like their own. I'm proud to know them.

My Mum, who suffers Alzheimers dementia, has been a resident of Camplehaye Residential home for well over a year, she is very happy there. The care they provide my Mum is outstanding. The carers know my mum really well and tend to her needs compassionately, she looks on them as her friends, and her cheekiness is always welcomed!From the outset we were able to turn my mum’s room into her own familiar space, bringing in pieces of her own furniture, wall pictures, shelves and ornaments. The rooms are bright and clean, and the food is nutritional and plentiful.My mum has had a couple of spells in hospital this year, each time her speedy recovery is due to the exemplary care given to her by the staff and care team on her return to Camplehaye. All the staff and carers are incredibly kind, and very hard working and they have provided immense support to me also.Families of residents are always made to feel welcome in the home and I always look forward to my regular visits, chatting with staff and residents, and joining in with the afternoon activities with my mum.To quote my mum following a day out… “It’s good to be home”. I think that says it all.Thank you all so much.
